Parisian Breeze Altered Clipboard

Clipboards

Hi, my video today demonstrates how to make one of these Altered Clipboards

If you’ve never made one I encourage you to try it. I promise you’ll love it!!  I still have the first one I made ….many moons ago 🙂

The smaller clipboard has been Mod Podged and I demonstrated that in my video.  The larger clipboard isn’t finished and you can see how light it is at the top (once I apply the Mod Podge it will darken.

My video gives you three tips to being Bubble Free with Mod Podge.  I’ll be honest and tell you I’m not sure which tip is the key. I’ve only had bubbles once or twice and that was long time ago.  In the video I stated that I would let you know if it developed bubbles….and ….it’s bubble free :)

Try my tips and let me know how it turns out!

Don’t forget to click on the HQ to view the video in higher quality.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock:  Parisian Breeze Speciality Paper (2 sided) – Cut in 9 x 2 1/2 strips and 9 x 2 strips

Other:  Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon, Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon, Mod Podge, Bone Folder, Sanding Block, Scissors & Glue Stick or other adhesive

p.s. I have a contest embedded in this video 🙂

Altered Clipboard Video

Hi, two days in a row I'm as happy as a clam!!  (are clams happy?)   Before I tell what I'm really happy about I'll go ahead and give you the details about my Altered Clipboard.

The video is ready and I'm going to break down and tell you I have a contest embedded in the video (I've been secretly giving away goodies for almost two weeks, did you know that?) Click here if you want all the details on the Parisian Breeze Altered Clipboard

My video also includes tips on how to be bubble free with Mod Podge. (doesn't that sound funny?)

Here's a small picture (you can view it larger on my Stampin' Academy

Clipboards

Now for what made my day……my RSS feed issue is fixed.  I know what the heck is RSS Feeds…I have no clue….it's complicated & over my head.   Maybe that's why it took me this long to get it fixed.  In April something happened and my Feeds stopped and although I added Feedburner and many of you found me again….I lost a lot of people.  But as of a few hours ago……I'm on the train again and I'm ready to shout it from the roof!  Tune in later this week I have a surprise coming!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lined Post it Notes

Good evening!

I’m very happy….I was super productive today and got all the videos filmed that was on my calendar for last week.  If all goes well, the first one will be the Post it Notes  I shared with you a week or so ago.

I’ll show you three pictures….the first one is the same style Post it Notes decorated a little differently. I used was the Urban Oasis Designer Paper and the Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon.

Here’s the side view….Post-it-notes-close-up

The last picture is the one I showed you earlier and what’s demonstrated in my video (for the girls that ask about coloring the bird, I included that as well…thanks for the request).

Box of Cards

May 9th 007

Hi, The card you see here is one of many that's included with the box you'll see at the end of this post. I've been trying to use all the designer paper that I've stashed away and I thought this paper was perfect for what I was looking for!

I used the Great Friend stamp set that's in the Occasions Mini Catalog and punched it with the 1 3/8 Circle Punch.  Instead of piercing holes with the Paper Piercer & the Chic Stand, I used the Black Marker and made little dots (to tie in the black a little more).

The matching envelope was made with the same designer paper and if you'd like to see how to make an envelope to go with your 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card, click here.

Now for the box….I'll show you the picture and then explain 🙂

May 9th 004

After I filmed the video for the Designer Paper box I decided to make one smaller, using only one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.  This is the end result….cute isn't it?  Ever since Melissa gave me that birthday card with the Top Note quilt I've wanted to make a card, but look how cute it looks on my box.   Click here if you'd like to see the written instructions on how to make the Top Note quilt

The box is made just like the Designer Paper Box, except it's smaller.  Would you like another video or just the measurements?

I will try to post again this weekend but no promises. Just in case I don't……….Have a Happy Mothers Day!!!  and thanks for stopping by 🙂

p.s. the retired designer paper I used was Cutie Pie.

Lovely Labels

 May 7th 002

Hi,  Thanks for joining me!

I just had to make one more box!  For three days I've shown you the same box and they all look so different. I like this one best (it could be because it's shorter and the handle is gone). It holds 6 cards and 6 envelopes and you can see the cards at the bottom of this post.

I'm filming a video…first thing Friday morning. I heard all your requests that this would make a great addition to your Mother's day gifts (I totally agree) and I'll post a quick note here when it's ready.  10:30pm update…the video is still loading on You Tube. I'm not sure why it's taking hours to upload. 11:20pm update…the video is ready. Click here to watch it :)

The box was made with the Parisian Breeze Designer Paper with the Lovely Labels stamp set.  The large scallop was punched with the Pennant Big Shot Die.  The smaller Scallop is Kraft and I punched it with the Scallop Circle punch. The "thank you" was punched with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch after I stamped it with Sahara Sand classic ink (Sahara Sand is not listed as a color in that paper, but I think it matches perfectly).

I pierced the scallops with the paper piercer and my Chic Stand.

Here's the cards I made to match (my style….monochromatic… quick & simple).

May 7th 003

See ya tomorrow!

p.s. I made the box and all 6 cards using one sheet of the Parisian Breeze designer paper plus the Whisper White & Kraft cardstock.

Baby Gift Box

Sarah box

Hi, This is one of the projects I worked on today. It's a box made out of one sheet of 12 x 12 Pink Pirouette textured cardstock. It's very easy and as soon as I get the handle the way I like it I'll film a video.

I used the Big Shot Die Cut Machine to make the name.  The letter S is from the Serif Essentials Alphabet and the rest of the name came from the Go Go Boots Alphabet.

I used the Eyelet Border punch for the border and the flower can be found in the Pretties Kit.

The box is a baby gift for the latest baby in our family. (Congrats Ami, Todd, Aunt Betsy and Uncle Douglas!!!!)

Now for the funny part…Sarah is the middle name 🙂  No worries, I can change it.  I already have some ideas….like using the Fleurettes on page 177.

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. I'm posting early for tomorrow 🙂  instead of in the morning.  Dave was home sick today and I'm not sure what my morning will bring.

Altered Clipboard

Parisian-Breeze-Clipboard

Good morning!!

Wow, it's been a while since I've been able to say that!  I've gotten in the habit of posting in the evenings and I kinda liked it since I'm a night owl.  But…I'm going to try to go back to posting in the mornings.

I made this Altered Clipboard yesterday and I had to go revisit my very first Video Tutorial to find the measurements.  I'm almost embarrassed for you to watch it but what can I say…I taught myself everything I know. Just kidding…..but it wasn't easy. Did I tell you that those first videos were shot in my bathroom on the vanity?  Tell me…. should I re shoot the video and include the Mod Podge this time?  Let me know :)

Click here  if you'd like to watch my Altered Clipboard video tutorial (don't forget it's the first video I filmed).

I used the Parisian Breeze Designer Paper to cover the clipboard and the ribbon is the Baja Breeze Striped and the Chocolate Grosgrain

Have a great day!!

p.s. if you've not made one of these clipboards, I challenge you to make one. I promise you can't stop with just one…they are so easy & just darling to have around your house!
