Punch Book??

Quick question…I’ve heard from so many of you that you’re interested in my purchasing my Punch Book.  But I need your help…..here are some of my concerns.

1.  My book has 5 pages completed but I have three more that are almost done for a total of 8 animals.

2.  Are you interested in buying the completed pages or the supplies to make your own?

3.  Are you wanting all 8 pages now or how about we start a Punch Club?   Any ideas?  Do you want to make just the animals or is the pages you want? Do you want me to make the pages or do you want the kit?

4.  How much to charge?  This one bothers me the most because punching all those pieces are very time consuming and to be honest they hurt my hands after a while.  I have a lady that I can pay to help me (the key word being “pay”) so I would need to come up with a fee that’s reasonable for all of us.

So, what you are thoughts?  I usually make all the decisions about my kits but I really need help with this one.  Instead of posting comments here, please send an email.  On Tuesday I will draw a name for something free (does that drive you crazy not knowing what it is?).  In the past I’ve taken the responses from all my emails but this time I’ll draw the name only from the emails.  Thanks!!

p.s.  This is not the Blog candy I spoke of……that’s around the corner.

Bear Punch :)

Bear Punch

Good afternoon!

This is what I worked on this morning…the Bear Punch.

I've made the video and I'm in the process of editing it now.  10pm update….The video is ready.  Click here if you'd like to go watch it.

The punches used were:  Scallop Circle, 1", 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8" Circles and the cardstock is Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Black & Whisper White.

One important note…I'm going to offer Blog Candy over the Memorial Day weekend so make sure you check in once so you can register to win!!  I'll post the details just as soon as I get them finalized….I'm thinking I may have to offer some of my Punch Pages!

If you're tired of seeing these animals I'm sorry and I'll try to make it up to you next week.  Making them has been perfect this week with Dave home sick.  I work a few hours and then the rest of my time is dealing with my family (his coughing all night is keeping both of us awake).

Thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. I'm so thrilled that you're excited about my Last Chance Contest.  You never know when you offer something if it's a good idea or a bad idea and I'm excited that you are excited!  (Don't you agree it's the little things in life that make us happy?)

Lion Punch

Lion punch

Hi, the video on how to make this Lion with our Stampin’ Up! punches is ready on my Stampin’ AcademyClick here to go watch it.  The supply list is over there too.

I’ve had several requests for typed instructions and I’ve decided to make them available.  But…..everything that’s on the instructions are on my videos.  Not to worry….. my videos are staying free to everyone!!  The reason I’m offering the instructions are because I’ve had some requests……my theory is ….. it never hurts to try.  Due to the time it requires to make the instructions I need to charge a small fee.

If you’d like to purchase a 3 page pdf file with instructions & picture, it will be available on my Chic n Scratch Shack tomorrow (Monday)  The instructions are sent electronically when payment is made and they can be found on the left side bar of my Chic n Scratch Shack under “Other items for Sale”. Over the next week or so I’ll be slowly adding some of my past instructions.  Just remember, the information that’s on my instructions are available free on my videos.

If you’re looking for the PDF file on the Hippo it’s loaded and ready to go. Click here to go there now.  Click here if you’d like to purchase the Lion Instructions.

Congrats Jennymorlan (screen name on You Tube)  & Kadie Labadie you won the PDF file for the Lion.  Please send me an email and I’ll send you the file.

Have a great day!

p.s. Over the next few months you’re going to start seeing misc. items for sale on my Chic n Scratch Shack…past card kits, left over 3-D kits, retired stamps.  I’m cleaning out my office and you never know what I might post over there (I’m a pack rat).

p.s.s.  The little tool I used to assemble the animals is called a QuickStik and you can find them online.  Just google QuickStik by Quickutz.  I bought mine from our local scrapbook store and they sold them right by the reigster.

Hippo Punch

Hippo  Hi,  My video today demonstrates how to make this Hippo.

After making the animals for the boxes I decided that they would also make darling bookmarks for kids. Can’t you see making one for every animal?

Here’s a list of the punches for the Hippo.

Word Window

Large & Small Oval

1 3/8, 1/4 & 1/8 Circle Punch

Or use Double Circle for the 1/8

Matchbox-animals

The box is made with the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and I used the Matchbox Die.  I used the Textures Plate #4 to emboss each box.

Cardstock used:  Basic Gray, Whisper White and Basic Black

Here’s the video …

Enjoy!

Hippo Punch

Hippo Hi!  After making the boxes with all the animals I couldn't resist making them for a kids bookmark.  Isn't that a great idea?  I can't wait to make a ton of them!!!

I choose to make the Hippo Punch first because that was the one most requested…I've filmed two so far and hope to get the other two tomorrow.

Do you remember the ribbon bookmark idea that I got from the Stampin' Up! Convention last year (Eastern Bloom Bookmark that I'm selling on my Chic' n Scratch Shack)?   Wouldn't this be darling on that too?  I'll show you one in a couple days.

I've made a video for the Hippo and loaded it on my Stampin' AcademyClick here if you'd like to watch it.

I've also posted all the details over there….the list of supplies & everything.

If you'd like to purchase a pdf file with the instructions, send me an email and I'll direct you to the link. (Link will be available after noon on Sunday).

Thanks for joining me!

Animal Punches

Matchbox-animals

Hi!  Aren't these the cutest things ever?   I wish I could take credit for creating them but I can not.  A friend (hey Julie) and I got together and we madethese animals from a variety of sources (mainly splitcoasters…..I think).  The day we made them was a blast!  I swear we laughed so hard…especially when we made the horse.  You had to be there!!  Let me tell you…. you start to talk to this guys once you've made a few.

Each animal is made with our Stampin' Up! punches and when I saw the Matchbox Die I knew that would make the cutest little gift for a child.  Do you remember the Bunny Face box I made with the nugget box?

To add some texture I used the Big Shot Texture Plate #4 and I sponged the edges on all of them to give it some depth (is that the right word?).

Now for the good news….I'm working on the videos this weekend but because of the process I'm not sure if I will have one ready by Saturday.  I'll try…. but I have Card Class tomorrow, 3-D kits to mail and Stamp Club on Monday & Tuesday.
That means I need to also clean my stamp room (oh dear!!!).

Have a good night and thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. When I make the videos I promise I'll have the list of all the punches needed.   I found some of the animals, not all of them and who knows where I put the list.  But when I make the video you'll see each and every punch I used and I'll put it on the screen and on my blog.
