Hi, My video today demonstrates how to make this Hippo.
After making the animals for the boxes I decided that they would also make darling bookmarks for kids. Can’t you see making one for every animal?
Here’s a list of the punches for the Hippo.
Word Window
Large & Small Oval
1 3/8, 1/4 & 1/8 Circle Punch
Or use Double Circle for the 1/8
The box is made with the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and I used the Matchbox Die. I used the Textures Plate #4 to emboss each box.
Cardstock used: Basic Gray, Whisper White and Basic Black.
Here’s the video …
Enjoy!
Tried to view the video but it says that it is private and I have to accept the friend request in order to view.
So cute! Can’t wait to add this to my punch book!!
Very cute hippo! Where did you get your quick stick? I have searched for it on the internet and I can fnd it anywhere. Thanks!

I am trying to find a quick stick, is that how you spell it?
Angie,
These are adorable. I love the video and really like how you give the dimensions outside the video so we can run a copy of them. I’m gonna make one of these bookmarks, soon. How did you attach them to the paperclips? Thanks for another great idea.

Love the video. Too cute. I am very interested in the Quick Stick you mentioned. I could use one of those. Where did you get it?
Very cute Angie! I originally watched the video with no sound, and I thought you were making a donkey! *giggle* But I see the hippo too (maybe if the ears are shorter?).
Love your quickstick thingie too.
I absolutely love your videos and how you keep your “oops” in them. It makes it seem more realistic for me to try, too. I always make oops! Also love to hear you giggle to yourself. You are just having so much fun! Thanks for the fun ideas….I think I’ll use the punches for the kids at my daughters’ birthday party!
Thanks for another terrific video. I love the hippo – so CUTE.
I would also like to know how you attached him to the paperclip. Thanks!!
Love Love Love your site! I visit it daily. The animals are adorable. Thank you for sharing all your ideas
He is just too cute. I have also started a little book of my punched creations-totally copying you from seeing it last year. What a great idea for kids. I am always looking for little things like this sine I work in a school.
What a hoot! Those are really cute! I think it looks more like a donkey than a hippo but I like it either way!
I don’t know how I would ever make it without something to pick up those tiny pieces. I too want to know where you got your Quick Stick. I googled but could not find it.
Another cute one! Can’t wait till your new videos comes in! I check frequently and it makes my day when you have a new video! Keep up your cutest work! 🙂
To the fans: Quickutz makes the quick stick. Angie: This is yet another great video. The little hippo was so cute. I like the paper clip idea too and wondered how it was attached. Also, where do you get your large paper clip bookmarks?
I love your videos, and I purchased a quick stick because of you…..love these animals…..cute cute cut..
Hi Angie, I have been enjoying your videos tonight and gathering ideas for a fundraiser. The bear and hippo book mark are great, how do you attach the paper clip? Thank you for all the beautiful ideas. Heather
