Valentine Treat Box

Valentine Treat Box
I love this Valentine Treat Box!! I’ve made at least four different versions and they all come out super cute!!  To make them all you do is use the Big Shot Box #2 die.

I used the Love Lettters Designer Paper with the Got Treats stamp set with the I {heart} Hearts stamp set.

The Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon has retired but in the video I’ll use the Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon (it looks just as good).

I used the 1-3/4 x 7/8 Oval Punch for the handles and don’t you love the cute Mini Library Clip?

Click here if you’d like to watch the video on how to make a Valentine Treat Box using the Big Shot Box #2 die.

Thanks & Have a great day!!

p.s. thanks to all those that joined me during Stamp with Chic n Scratch on UStream!!  And Congrats to Sue Speigner you won the gift I was offering!   Here’s Sue’s comment:

Hi Angie, I am so glad to see you back on Ustream. I have missed this so much. The tour of the catalog was great. I am getting my order ready for the virtual club. I never have to worry about getting my $35 worth…hehe Thanks again.

Be my Valentine

Be My Valentine trifold
The Be my Valentine stamp is one of my favorite items in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Starting tomorrow you can order from the Occasions Mini Catalog!!  Watch out …over the weekend I made several cards using this stamp and designer paper!!

I believe this is called a Trifold card ….. I haven't made one of them in a few years…when I saw the heart ….. it just said trifold to me 🙂

Valentine trifold
I used the Love Letter Designer Paper with Riding Hood Red card stock and ink.  I stamped the image with Riding Hood Red and then Rock & Rolled it with Early Espresso ink.  I used the Mat Pack with the Paper Piercer to align the holes for the Metallic Brads.

Click here to watch a video on how to make the Be my Valentine Trifold Card.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. If you're one of my customers….. you should have received the Occasions Mini Catalog & the Sale-a-bration catalog from me in the past week or so…..if you did not please let me know and I'd be happy to send you another.

Whoo’s your Valentine Goldfish

Goldfish treat box
Since I was on the phone most of the day I had to do something with my hands…so I attached my headset and started playing with my stamps.  I had this idea a few weeks ago (back when I bought the gold fish) but just haven't had the time to play.
I used the Whoo's your Valentine stamp set & colored the goldfish with the Real Red & Pumpkin Pie Markers.  I tried using the Aqua Painter first but it looked to washed out.

The box is the Tall Top Note Box I made several months ago. (what was I thinking naming it "tall top note box"?  I'm using it without the Top Note this time….I need help wording things!!)

Click here if you'd like to see the video on how to make this box (minus the top note).

Here's a few more pictures.

p.s. Thanks for all the well wishes for my nephew.  The surgery went well & we hope he's on his way to recovering!!

Petal Card Valentine Treats

Petal card treats

I whipped out these goodies real fast this morning and I made all of them while I was on the phone (see end of post for details).

All you need is the Petal Card die & you make them with Felt that you can pick up just about anywhere (even Wal-mart).  I doubled the felt…meaning I folded it over and ran it through the Big Shot.  And, it works like a dream!!

Petal Card
The first picture of them….I just added the candy inside and folded the flaps over & tied it with some ribbon. They will hold some Sweet Tarts, M&M's or a Ghirardelli Chocolate.
Pink Heart

The next way to use the very same die is cut off the bottom two flaps and you have a heart.  I did a Blanket Stitch around the sides.  Punched two holes using the Crop a Dile & then added some handles (I should re-do the handles..I was in a hurry & threw it together).  When adding the handles make sure you punch the holes more to the left & right and not in the center.  On the red one I made …it doesn't look right with the holes in the middle.  Here's what they look like with some candy.

Felt hearts

They look better than the picture…I need one of those hanger things to hold them up!!

Would you like to see a video on how to make this? I'd be happy to film it but I never know what to film or not to film 🙂   If you'd like to see how to do a Blanket stitch, click here to watch my video (older video making the candy corn bag).

p.s. Please keep my nephew in your prayers!!  He turned 20 yesterday and on his way to a friends house he hit some black ice.  He crashed into an embankment, had to bust out his window to get out, cell phone had no coverage and he had to walk to his friends house.  Once he got there he collapsed & they drove him to the ER.  Not sure how he made it with his injuries…… God works in mysterious ways!!   He should be okay but his injuries require some surgery today.   Days like today I sure miss living near my family!!

Sending Love Two in One Basket

Sending Love Basket

I made a few more Two in one Baskets yesterday and this is what I'm giving Chase & Brooke for Valentines Day (along with their big box of Chocolate).

I used the Sending Love Specialty Paper #117153 from the Occasions Mini Catalog with the Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon #117289.

I made this basket with a 9 x 9 sheet of cardstock.  If you'd like to see how I made it……  I have two videos filmed and you can watch them on my Chic n Scratch Live! website, click here to go there now.  Or I have the supply list with instructions available for a small fee, click here to head over to The Chic Stand for all the details.

If you've tried to call me in the past couple days…our digital phone is acting up…twice it's stopped working while I was on the phone with someone & now it's snowing like crazy (rain & snow also disrupts our service on occasion).  If you've tried to call me, please send me an email and I'll call you.  Hopefully it will work itself out in the next few days.

Thanks for joining me!!

Chew, Chew, I like you!

Chew chew nerds

My project today is a Valentine Nerd Holder.  I love making them so much that I make it every year (just changing up the colors and stamp set).

Looking back….I made a video on this project on Jan. 2th, 2008 (over two years ago).  It was my third video and not one of my best but I have fond memories of filming it.  This was the one & only video filmed in my kitchen…back then I was still searching for the best location or I should say the best lighting!!  If you'd like to check out my really old video, click here.

Chew Chew

I used the Whoo's your Valentine stamp set and I stamped it with Black Stazon on Shimmery White card stock and then colored the image in with an Aqua Painter & Stampin' Write Markers.  If you're in a hurry you can take your marker…scribble on your stamp case…then use your aqua painter to pick up the color.  Since it's water-based ink you can just wipe it off with a paper towel.  The colors I used were Basic Gray, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo & Tempting Turquoise.

I have to say ….images like this one are my all time favorite!! I love coloring!! To get the shaded look all I did was take my Going Gray marker & go around the edges.

Here's the supply list:

  • Whoo's your Valentine stamp set #115344
  • Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon #115611
  • Mini Glue Dots #103683

Sweetheart Stamp Set

Sweetheart

My card today is a little rough around the edges…don't look too closely. Do you ever have days that no matter what you do…. you can't get it right?  I decided to take my own advice and move on 🙂

I used the Sweetheart stamp set with the Heart Treat Cups & the colors I used were Old Olive & Melon Mambo.
I stamped the greeting & then punched it out with the Full Heart Punch, then I layered it on a heart I punched with the Movers & Shapers Punch Windows.  This time I used the adhesive on the back of the Heart Treat Cup 🙂

The edge of the Old Olive cardstock was made with the New Pinking Hearts Border Punch that can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Supply List:

  • Sweet Heart Stamp set #120415 Wood #120780 Clear
  • Heart Treat Cups #120435
  • Full Heart Punch #113693
  • Movers & Shapers Punch Windows #115953
  • Pinking Heart Border Punch #117649
  • Old Olive Ink & Cardstock #102277 & #100702
  • Melon Mambo Ink & Cardstock #115656 & #115320
  • Whisper White Cardstock #100730
  • Stampin' Dimensionals #104430

I've had a few questions asked about Vintage Labels card kit so here's the scoop…….The cards are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I use medium white envelopes for that size (don't you agree..once they take out the card….they won't notice the envelope was a tad big?). The instructions are sent electronically through email.  Here's a picture of the packaging.

I {heart} Hearts stamp set

I had a different post for today but I've decided to show you two projects that made me order the I {heart} Hearts stamp set when I returned from Leadership.   (excuse the pictures …they were taken from the display board & the screen).

Hearts card

I love this card and when she demonstrated it on stage she showed us all sorts of techniques.  For example the Olive heart was Rock N Rolled, the yellow heart is the kissing technique and the blue heart was crumbled up & sponged (can't remember the red one …maybe it was embossed).

Product I see used on this card is.  I {heart} Hearts stamp set, Well Scripted Stamp set, Solid Stripes stamp, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Small Heart Punch, Button Latte, Soft Suede Cardstock & Ink.

Three hearts

This beautiful card was presented by Shelli and it totally sold me on this set!  I also love those "Hugs" Love Notes!!

Thanks for joining me!!
