Just a heads up ….. I'm headed to the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City. And while I'm away ….I'm not going to post on my blog …. I'm going to post a notice that I'm away ….and that I'll be updating my Chic n Scratch Fan page on Facebook.

Gift from Donna

My pictures today are of the lovely gifts Donna gave me at Convention. I seriously love how she made it all color coordinated!! If you are one of my local customers, be sure to check it out the next time you're here. (I have it displayed on one of my shelves.)

Some of the supplies she used were the Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch & the Two Step Bird Punch.

Wall Decor at Convention

Doesn't this room make you wish it was yours? I haven't done a lot with the Decor Elements but I think after seeing all the cool things at Convention …. I'm ready to jump in with two feet!! I sure wish my mud room looked this nice 🙂

Swap Cards from Convention

My pictures today are of some swaps that I was able to photograph. I was very lucky to have a few friends & downline girls let me take pictures of theirs!! I also owe a thanks to everyone that gave me a free card… Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet!!

I'm not sure how the flower was made…I think she punched several of the new Scallop Circle punch and then layered them… I'll try to figure it out real soon!

Both of these cards are super cute but …. I didn't personally swap with these ladies so I don't have the recipe. I'll try to look the info up when our family leaves and update this post with the details.

Sweet Shoppe

One of the most amazing things we got to experience at the Stampin' Up! Convention was the Sweet Shoppe. It truly was an experience all by itself!!!

Mushy stuff

I got home last night from Convention and I'm exhausted but also extremely happy. This was the best Convention ever….but for different reasons than you think. I'll warn you when I get tired I get emotional and silly.

In October I'll celebrate 8 years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Wow! And next month I'll celebrate 4 years as a blogger 🙂

I've been to 6 Conventions…..I think…. sorry it's really hard to keep track. This year I knew a ton of people…pretty much every where I went I knew someone. I love that! Okay….let me explain….I grew up in a pretty small town… where we knew everyone. I joke with my sister & tell her I can't go anywhere with her because everywhere she goes it takes her at least an hour (because she knows everyone and starts talking).

I had 11 of my team members go & counting myself there was 12 of us….. it was awesome! We had a blast! Because most of my team members are all over the US I had not met most of them. But, I think they'll agree with me, talking on the phone with each other…gives you clearer picture than you would think. Each of them were exactly as I expected and I love them!! You girls are the best and I can't wait until next year!!!

I'm going to spend the day catching up and then start showing you some awesome pictures from Convention. We have some family coming in town ….. so the next 7 days will be Convention pictures but I'll be checking my email and all that stuff.

Convention Team Notepads

Last night I thanked all my customers for choosing me to be their Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and tonight I want to thank everyone that has joined my Chic n Scratch Team!!

One of the awards was for Senior Associate promotions and that one was earned because of my team. I am very thankful and I hope that you all know how much I love you!!

Here’s a picture of the cute little notepads I made all the girls that attended Convention. (I made gifts because I love to give …..and because I appreciate their sacrifice to be here.)

In addition to the notepad, they each were given a gift certificate for free product & I made them a cute bag tag ….. but I can’t find the picture …so here’s a picture of it on my Convention bag (excuse the photo…it was taken with my cell phone….I’ll share the original picture …later….when I find it).

Tonight was the Stampin' Up! awards ceremony and before I hit the bed I wanted to say thank you to all my customers. I was #1 in Senior Associate Promotions, #2 in Sales & #7 Demo of the Year.

Convention & Engraved Greetings

Here's another card made with the Engraved Greetings stamp set. I don't use the color red very often ….. but now that we have Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler & Riding Hood Red I've decided to get busy using them….they are all so pretty!!

This card was made with the Poppy Parade & I used the Poly Stitched Ribbon.

Now for some Convention 2010 buzz……

Today was day 1 and it was packed with lots of fun!! We got our bags, went shopping at Momento Mall …lots of stuff in between. I posted the laptop on my facebook page…did you see it?

Here's a picture (sorry about the lighting…I took this pic with my cell phone).

One of the things I'm super excited is I won a free stamp set at the Flower Power Party (it's my most favorite stamp set in the brand new Holiday Mini …can't tell you the name just yet….but in a few weeks I will show you some samples. It's the first time I've won something since Convention in Orlando (can't remember what year it was but it's been a long time!!)

Gotta run ….. it's 12:30 here in Utah, 1:30am back in Kansas. Have a good night or morning 🙂
