My Christmas Card

My Christmas Card

Good morning!

My project today is going to be my Christmas Card.  I used the Sweet Season stamp set & the Merry Christmas can be found in the Christmas Greetings stamp set.  I embossed the image Old Olive craft ink with Clear Embossing Powder.

After I embossed the image I punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch and layered it on the Old Olive Scallop. The Old Olive Scallop is from the Pennant Die.  Here's a tip for you….I took one sheet of all my favorite colors of cardstock and punched out a bunch of these scallop circles. I store them in a glass container so I can reach in anytime & grab one 🙂

I took apart a Clear Rhinestone Brad, removed the gem and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Here's the back of the card…..My Christmas card back cover

This year I'd like to include this on all my cards …but if I get behind I may eliminate this step.

Here's my warm up version….Sweet Season

Differences between the two cards:

  • The Rhinestone Brad was attaching using the Paper Piercer with my Chic Stand.
  • Added Dimensionals to the Old Olive Scallop
  • Merry Christmas is a tad too high on this card

Have a great day!

Swap Cards

Good afternoon!

Today I'm sharing with you two cards that I received at Convention.   The first one is a lovely card using the Kind & Caring Thoughts  stamp set. It's a Level Three Hostess set and if you'd like to book a workshop with me this is one of the sets you could possibly earn.

Convention swap LLS

She also used the Define your Life stamp set, as well as the Pocket Silhouettes. The beautiful embossing folder is the Finial Press Impressions.   Other items used were the Eyelet Border Punch, Mellow Moss Grosgrain (that was my favorite color before Celery came along.

The next card makes you smile!  I love this bear and I really need to figure out how to use him for Halloween or Christmas (I love images that I can color).

Convention swap Katja

She used the Under the Stars stamp set & she applied Crystal Effects to his tummy.  The colors include:  Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip & More Mustard…perfect for this time of year!   She also used the Jumbo Eyelets…which reminds me I haven't use those in a while….I need to break those out again!

Have a great day!

Textured Swap Card

Good afternoon,

Today I'm sharing another card that I took to Convention.  When I was deciding my swaps I decided on this one because it's uses the brand new Finial Press Embossing Folder.  It took a little time to make it because I colored the image with markers (that's why I only made twenty of them).

Convention swap #4

The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I punched it out with the Word Window Punch and layered it onto the Modern Label Punch.

Here's a list of supplies:

  • Stamps:  Razzle Dazzle & Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Cardstock:  Whisper White & Melon Mambo
  • Ink:  Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry & Rich Razzleberry
  • Other:  Finial Press Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Scallops Circles #2 Die,  Circle Scissor Plus

The rest of my pictures are from Convention.    Speaking of Convention, I'll be sharing all the hundreds of photos I took (& Suzie) and will load them in the Convention Photo Album (on the right side of my blog).  But I need to focus on my Stamp Club projects for the next few days and then I'll concentrate on loading them.

The first few pictures are Convention gifts I received from Sally.  She was a wonderful roommate!! She's calm, patient & the total opposite of me & that's one of the reasons it makes her the perfect roommate.  Sally, I know I owe you one for taking care of me! Thank you!!Halloween Box

This is a lovely Halloween box that she made with the new Cast a Spell Designer Paper.  She also used the awesome Spooky Treats Rub-ons.  (are you like me & you keep saving them for a special event?  my goal this year is to use them.)

Here's a picture of the inside…..Halloween box inside

Next is the darling bag she made for me…I'm so jealous…I wish I could sew but I'm afraid to learn for fear of becoming obbessed with something else.

Sallys Convention Bag

The next picture needs no explanation :)  But, I couldn't resist adding that Sally is another one of those girls that I almost had to twist her arm to make her read the Twiligiht series. After she read them, of course she was hooked.

Twilight

I had three downline go to Convention this year and all three of them are such nice people.  It's just amazing that stamping has brought us all together! Next year I want at least 20 of my Team there….please!!)

The next picture is the gift I gave each girl.  I thought they were super cute and would possibly match our Convention bags, but the color was way off base (maybe next year).  I found these lovely monogram items at Thirty-One Gifts.

Convention Downline Gifts

The next picture is Pf changs of Sharon, Suzie and myself at PF Changs our first night there.  I wish I could have eaten there at least one more time.

And the final picture for today is of us three after we left PF Changs.Angie Suzie & Sharon  Thanks Suzie for taking all these photos…words can not express out much I appreciate you taking them all week!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

3/4″ Polka Dot Grosgrain

Vanilla Joy Hi,  my cards today are more examples of my warm up cards.  When I show you my Convention swap next week you'll see how I improved it.

I used the new Real Red 3/4" Polka Dot ribbon with the Spotlight on Christmas stamp set. You can use any set you'd like in the middle.  In fact this card is was one of my Card of the Week videos (I believe it's Card of the Week #2).

Here's another picture…..

Spotlight on Christmas On the Vanilla card I turned the ribbon around so that the dots are hidden.

Halloween Hoot

Halloween Hoot

Good afternoon!

I used the Halloween Hoot stamp set for one of my Convention swaps and this was my warm up card.  I love it and that witch cracks me up!!   All three of the sentiments included in the set will fit in the sign.

I used the Stamp a ma jig to stamp the sign just where I wanted it and I used the Old Olive Watercolor Crayon to color her face & hands (the marker was too dark and she scared me being that green). I did use the Old Olive Marker to trace a fine line around her face. Click on the picture to view it larger and you'll see it.

The large Scallop Circle is the Scallop Circles #2 Big Shot die and the white circle is 3 inches.

Have a great day!
