Free …. Because I Care

June 2010 free card

My card today was the first thing I made with all my new stamps. I used the Because I Care stamp set (Level One Hostess set) with two of the new colors.  I colored the image with markers and I used Pear Pizzazz with Concord Grape.

This is the free card I'm sending to everyone that places an order with me in June (but I'm changing the plan just a tad…instead of sending them every Saturday…I'll send them out as quick as possible…I'm a tad behind on May and should finish them this weekend).

Have a great day!!

Blissful Bride stamp set

Jill may swap

My card today is not one of my creations.  I hosted a team swap and this was Jill's card.   She used the Blissful Bride stamp set out of the Summer Mini Catalog.   Don't you love how she added the Pretties Kit pearl in the middle of the Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon?

Have a great day!!

Punched Posies Card of the Week #9

Pumpkin Punched Poises

Good morning,

I have to start out by saying I love this card!!  I used the Punches Posies stamp set to make it.  It's the latest Level two hostess set in the Summer Mini Catalog and it's actually going to be the stamp set I'm giving away in June.  I have two of them and I'll draw one name on June 15th and the last one after July 1st.

I've already made a video, click here if you'd like to see how this card is made.  See picture below to see how I use the Word Window punch for the greeting….photographing it wasn't easy…..they always look so much better in person!!

If I can't get the list loaded on my blog, be sure to look on my Stampin' Up! site at http://www.angiejuda.stampinup.net for both the retired stamps and retired accessories.  Also…don't forget the accessories are while supplies last!!

And last but not least, if you'd like to join my team and become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator …….there will details available for a Mini Starter Kit (also available on my Stampin' Up! site June 1st).

Card of the week #8

Good morning,

A few months back I ask for your suggestions ……what could I do to improve my blog or what would you like to see more of.   And several of you suggested I start my Card of the Week videos again.  (Click here if you'd like to see my very first card of the week…back in 2008.)

Scallop Tropical

This card was going to be the first one back…… but we had rain everyday last week and I just can't bring myself to film a video with poor lighting….now that the sun has returned I've filmed four videos.  If you'd like to see how to color the pretties kit flowers with sponge daubers or Crystal Effects with reinkers, click here.  Or to watch the Scallop Circle Card of the Week #8, click here.   (My video does include showing you how to use the Big Shot to cut the Scallop Circle.)

Have you pre-ordered your copy of the 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog?  Click here to order your copy today so you can be one of the first to get a copy!!

I have two more videos for you tomorrow…then Saturday & Sunday I'll have end of the month reminders and a brand new Bloopers video for you.  Then make sure you check back on Tuesday for the RETIRED STAMP LIST & accessories :)

See ya tomorrow!!

p.s.  How would you like a free card on Friday?  Leave me a comment (on this post) and one lucky person will win this card tomorrow.   (I'll be doing a whole series of Free on Friday …cute isn't it?)

Monogram Notecard

Monogram thank you

Good morning,

My cards today are a set of Monogram cards I'm working on.  I used the Lovely Letters Alphabet Set with Old Olive ink.  I'm still working on the packaging 🙂

I used the 1 1/4 Circle Punch with the Scallop Circle Punch & pierced the scallops with a Paper Piercer.

I've made two sizes because sometimes you just want to write a quick note……. and the 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 size is perfect for that!!

Teacher thank you

Pendant Park stamp set

Pennant Park

Good morning,

I have two cards for you today using the Pendant Park stamp set with the Favorite Thoughts stamp set.  The first card I made is what I like to call the "dirty version"  ….meaning lots of sponging.  And then I remembered that many of you don't like to sponge…..so I cleaned it up and the above card is just for you.

Here's my dirty version 🙂

Pennant Park dirty

I colored the bush (or tree) with an Old Olive ink pad and then took my Chocolate Chip marker and colored the stems.

It’s a thought stamp set

It's a thought giraffe

Good morning!

My card today is using the It's a Thought hostess stamp set and it's also the set I'm giving away at the end of the month.  (Click here for more details on my Free stamp of the month.)

This card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and I used the Scallop Edge punch for the bottom.  I used the Stem Sayings stamp set for the greeting and the giraffe is from the It's a thought stamp set.  I used the Large Oval Punch on the white card stock and layered it with the More Mustard that I punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch.

This card came about when I was digging through my stamps this weekend.  When I posted the details for The Last Chance List Contest it made me think I better start using my sets that I think may retire.  I'm not sure Stem Sayings will but I've had it long enough it may.

Here's the next card I made with this set…….in the middle of making this card I lost my train of thought…….I suddenly remembered that Celebrity Apprentice was on and I really wanted to see who won.  It was very touching and I hope that Brett continues to get better!!

It's a thought sorry

It's  missing something….but I still like it 🙂 or maybe I should rearrange the circles? I used the It's a thought stamp set on this card too and a whole punch of our circle punches!!

Last but not least….I've posted on the Sewing/quilting blog, click on the image below to go to my Chick n Scratch blog.

Pretties Kit Card

Good morning!

My card today is a pretty simple card to make …except that you need to start it several hours in advance :)

Pretties Flower

Here's what I did……I took some Crystal Effects & some Pumpkin Pie ink refill and made a mixture of it on a paper plate.  I mixed it up using a toothpick and then used a small paintbrush to brush the mixture on the Pretties Kit flower.  I covered the flower lightly and the end result is the flower looks wet in some places….but it's not.  After you've painted it ….. let it dry and the drying time will depend on how thick you apply it.

I added a Sherbet Designer Button to the middle and the greeting is from the Favorite Thoughts stamp set out the the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog.

Dave cut a few of our Peonies yesterday and when he brought them in….just the tips were wet…..that made me think of my card.   Here's a picture of them (excuse the picture…it's been cloudy & raining here for at least a week).

I was not on the computer all weekend and will be playing catchup today :)  I did manage to finish a couple of my sewing projects and as soon as the sun comes out I'll take some pictures and film the tutorials.   (I usually like rain and storms but that box has been checked …… I'm ready to see the sun again!!)
