Good morning!
My card today is a pretty simple card to make …except that you need to start it several hours in advance 🙂
Here's what I did……I took some Crystal Effects & some Pumpkin Pie ink refill and made a mixture of it on a paper plate. I mixed it up using a toothpick and then used a small paintbrush to brush the mixture on the Pretties Kit flower. I covered the flower lightly and the end result is the flower looks wet in some places….but it's not. After you've painted it ….. let it dry and the drying time will depend on how thick you apply it.
I added a Sherbet Designer Button to the middle and the greeting is from the Favorite Thoughts stamp set out the the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog.

Dave cut a few of our Peonies yesterday and when he brought them in….just the tips were wet…..that made me think of my card. Here's a picture of them (excuse the picture…it's been cloudy & raining here for at least a week).
Stamp Club girls…… club is tomorrow. Send me a quick note and let me know if you're planning on attending the 11am session.
Thanks for stopping by!!
p.s. I was not on the computer all weekend and will be playing catchup today 🙂 I did manage to finish a couple of my sewing projects and as soon as the sun comes out I'll take some pictures and film the tutorials. (I usually like rain and storms but that box has been checked …… I'm ready to see the sun again!!)
What a neat touch.
Lovely card! You can also try to mix some water and a few drops of a reinker, in a spray bottle, and then spritz the flowers =)
Ranger has some great little spray bottles.
Can’t wait to see the sewing projects!

I’m jealous! Peonies just don’t grow in our hot climate on Maui…your’s are beautiful!
We could use some rain here in the islands.
Thanks for all your great ideas!
Naomi
I LOVE peonies!! They are my favorite flower. They are not blooming here yet (Nebraska) but the buds are getting bigger. Looking forward to your quilting projects 🙂
I LOVE this idea! I’m going to do it on my next card. Thanks!! 🙂
