This morning I posted a question on my Chic n Scratch Facebook Page ….if they’d like to see a few another project made with the Matchbox Die …most of them said yes …..and I couldn’t resist making two more…since Halloween crafts are my favorite!!
For the first box I used the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and I decided to keep it simple. I used the technique I showed in my It’s a Wrap Matchbox video for making the squares fit in the Scallop Square.
The next picture is the Dark & Dreary Matchbox ….I’m so happy that stamp set was carried over from the Holiday Mini Catalog!!
I used the Wicked Cool stamp set for the greeting and I embossed the top of the matchbox with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. I sprayed it with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint & alcohol.

Note from Angie: Thank you for all the comments, emails and prayers. The Biopsy went okay and I go in next Thursday for the results. I’m a tad scared … the mass has gotten larger over the course of three weeks …. but at least the needle part is done!!
I've got the Matchbox on my brain this week and I decided to try it with the Merry Winter stamp set. I can't wait to use this set later this fall for some Holiday crafts!!!
It's the same box as yesterday and the day before …the only difference is I turned it the other direction. I used the brand new Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon and I embossed the top of the matchbox with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
And ….best of all ….I used a new product that will be available in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It's called Dazzling Details and it's Glitter Glue …. it's clear and hard to see on a blog but in person it's very pretty. As some of you know I'm allergic to glitter and this product solves my problem … thank you Stampin' Up!!!!!!
I went back & forth about coloring the snowman but since I'm in a hurry today I decided to keep him simple.

Personal Note: I have my Thyroid Biopsy today and I'm so nervous I'm sick to my stomach!! I'm sure all will be well …but the thought of needles in my throat….with me awake ….oh dear!!
I need to ask all of you to please be patient with me! Since April my life has fallen apart and in all this I've met some of the nicest people ever …and a few not so nice. All I can say is I'm human ….I'm doing my best. If you really know me you already know that. Before April my normal workday was 7am to midnight …but I'm sick right now and by 5pm I'm toast (actually 3pm but I force myself to keep going). I'm also not working on weekends … but I promise you I'll get through all this and be a better person for it!! I have faith :)
I couldn't resist making the It's a Wrap Matchbox in Wisteria Wonder!! There's just something about that color that I love!

P.S. My day was shot down in flames …… One of Brooke's brackets broke on her braces and I had to pick her up from college and rush her to the ortho …. and get her back in less than 2 hours. After it's all said and done … five hours was gone :O On the bright side … thank God I was available and could do it!!!

The name I need is ….. what to call you …..my customers/fans A couple names out there are My Stampin' Chics and Chicnscratchers …..but the scratchers thing makes me think of a dude :) I'd like something cute …but my brain is a little distracted and I can't think (more health stuff but we'll chat about it later).

The Baskets & Blooms die #113484 is another item that's retiring on June 30th and I will surely miss it!! If you have the die already …you know that I've altered the assembly. I liked it as it came …but I liked it better after I angiefied it 🙂

Today we're going to talk about the Clear Flower Die #114534 for the Big Shot Die Cut Machine. It's retiring on June 30th and it's currently marked down to $14.96 (original price was $19.95).
If you've followed my blog for a while …you've seen me use it on my Flower Quilts and even a purse.
So, my post today is a tribute to the Flower Die and a reminder that if you want to make the Flower Quilt …you will need this die.
Back in April …before everything fell apart …. I started the video on How to make the Flower Quilt ….and I have 90% of the video filmed. What I'll do is ……release that part this afternoon… part two will hopefully be finished very soon!!! (It's not hard it's just finding a couple hours to sew and film at the same time.)

Just a reminder …. the process for my Quilts are I make the Quilt Top and then take the quilt top, batting & backing fabric to a longarm quilter and let her finish it …she also does the Binding for me for a small fee. I like making the Quilt Tops … a lot ….they're fun to make!! But I prefer to leave the rest to the professionals. I tell everyone I'm the new generation Quilter :) Or you could call me a Lazy Quilter just like I'm a Lazy Stamper.
