I made a decision to go to Founders Circle next week ….I think I can do it 🙂

I've said this to a few of you already  … If I don't go … my mental well being will be worse off than my physical well being.  When worded like that ….everyone agrees!!

I missed the Alaska cruise this year (as well as the awesome pillow gifts) and I just can't handle missing one more thing.  Plus this trip is about rest and relaxation.  I haven't made a single swap … but I still have hopes of pulling one together before Tuesday …but if I don't it's not the end of the world.  My biggest fear is handling the airport ….even healthy it's difficult …but I'm just going to pack very light and pray for the best!!!

I'm still playing catch up from surgery and now I'm headed out of town ….for six days.  How will I ever make it up to you all?  Hopefully I'll come home more inspired that ever!!  There's some very talented ladies going and I'm looking forward to talking business with them.

Next week ….you can expect to see me drop in with some personal updates from Founders Circle and I'll post some gifts/cards I received during my surgery.  (thank you all!!)

Quick update

Just a few notes ….

  • The Summer Mini Catalog ends tomorrow August 31st.
  • The Holiday Mini Catalog begins Thursday, September 1st.
  • 12 Weeks of Halloween Week #4 will be posted on Thursday (this week) so I can use the Out on a Limb Stamp Set (from the Holiday Mini Catalog).
  • The 3D Creative Contest is going very well!! I’m asking all the ladies for the supplies and instructions and as soon as I get the information I’ll update each post.  If they allow me to film a video I’d be happy to …but it’s their choice.
  • Today is my first day back at work ….but I have zero energy!! I’m going to try to spend at least 2 hours a day on email and hopefully I can make some progress.  I appreciate your patience!!

Surgery updates

Hey there,

I decided instead of posting all my surgery stuff here on my Stampin Up business blog I would just go back to my personal blog.  For the most part …my personal blog is a whole bunch of me rambling …I love it because I like to write.  But it's unfiltered and a place where I can write without worrying about what I say.  The only thing I ask is that you refrain from making any negative comments.

Change in plans

Hey there,

Just a quick note … I'm sorry I had plans to offer some blog candy and a few other things but the last few days have been STRESSFUL.  I won't go into all the details .. it's just too much ….. but I wanted to say I'm sorry!

My surgery is scheduled for Monday and I have a million things to do to get ready. 

You will see activity on my blog ….but I will not be working. 

PLEASE be patient while I take the time to rest and recover.  If you have an order issue … Stampin' Up! can help you …..their number is 1-800-stampup.  (I normally do these things for you all but I don't want you to wait ….as soon as I'm better I'm more than happy to handle them.)

Either over the weekend or on Monday I'll post where I'm going to keep you guys updated.  (I'm already itching to share this week but it's just way too much information for this site.)

12 Weeks of Halloween Week #2

Two Tags Treat Holder
The Two Tags Treat Holder is the 2nd project for my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

I used the Grateful Greetings stamp set with the spider from the Dark & Dreary stamp set (I’m thrilled that set carried over from last years Holiday Mini Catalog).

This is a super easy Halloween project to make and you can whip out a whole punch really fast!!!

Here’s how I made it ……using the Big Shot I cut out two Cajun Craze tags with the Two Tags Die.  Added some Frightful Sight Designer Paper and closed it with some Black Taffeta Ribbon.

12 Weeks of Halloween – Week #1

Scaredy Cat Treat Box
The Scaredy Cat Treat Box is the first project for my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

I used the Scared Cat stamp set with the Frightful Sight Designer Paper.

The box was made with the Box #2 Die and I used Old Olive card stock to wrap around it.

Surgery update

Hey there,

Here's the news I got today …. the pathology shows the mass has characteristics of cancer ….. but that doesn't mean it is cancer.   They're going to remove the mass/left side of Thyroid on August. 22nd.  They'll run all sorts of test on it and determine if it's cancer …if it's cancer I'll have a 2nd surgery to remove the rest of my Thyroid.

One other little glitch …I've never had a heart murmur before ….but today they detected one …. so I have to see a cardiologists next week to get cleared for surgery.  I guess some people are born with one ….and others develop is when something else is going on.  Hopefully it's because of my thyroid and not an issue itself!!
