Merry Crittermas

  Kitty-Christmas
I started this Top Note Bag a few weeks ago and never finished it & since I'm not feeling a 100% I decided to call it done :)  I think it's super cute…but I was thinking of adding a greeting with a tag….maybe.

The darling cat is from the Merry Crittermas stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog and I used the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty paper with the Top Note Die.  The lunch sacks are on page 13 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and I love them!!

I used Baja Breeze with Pink Pirouette on the cat and sponged the edges with White Craft ink.  Around the handle I tied the Clear Tinsel Trim with the White Taffeta Ribbon.

Regarding stamping live on UStream…..I still plan on tomorrow, Saturday at noon central time.  But please check my blog first.  If I wake up feeling worse…….I'll need to cancel.  But the doc said a couple days of meds would make me feel better.

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday!!  I had my laptop in bed with me and it was nice hearing from all of you!!  What is it ……when you're sick you just wish you had someone with you?

Thanks & have a great weekend!!

Sweet Snowglobe Bag

Snowglobe-bag
Don't you love the Sweet Snowglobe stamp from the Holiday Mini Catalog?

When I started this Top Note bag …I was going to use Baja Breeze….but the more I worked with it …I just had to go with the Crumb Cake and Early Espresso

The "Wishing you a Merry Christmas" came from the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set and how can you not use the Sweet Treat cups with the Snowglobe?

The almost invisible snowflakes you see in the background is from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set and I stamped off using Crumb Cake.  I used the Moonlight Smooch Accent ink to color inside the snowflakes.

You'll also notice I'm using a different video player.  I tried loading it on You Tube all day …..  but I was never able to get it to load. (It could be the fact that I installed imovie 11 over the weekend…or maybe not….hopefully I'll figure it out soon!)

See ya tomorrow!

p.s. since I worked on loading my video on You Tube all day…I didn't get a chance to finish my post for My Chic n Scratch Classroom ….so I'll make it a priority Tuesday & try to get it posted by Wednesday.

Snowman Top Note Box

Snowman-top-note-box My project today is what we made on UStream yesterday.  We used the Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set with the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty paper.  Along with the
Clear Tinsel Trim
and Rhinestones 🙂

I used Whisper White card stock & colored the snowman using the reinkers with the Aqua Painter.  I used Baja Breeze ink for his gloves, scarf and the snow, Basic Gray ink for his hat, Pink Pirouette for his cheeks and Peach Parfait Marker for his nose.  Click here if you'd like to watch the process (it's almost three hours because we made two projects instead of one).

I'm filming the video for You Tube today and it should be ready later this evening.

A big thanks goes out to all the ladies that joined me yesterday on my live stream!! I was a little tired and emotional and I think our project turned out great!!

Christmas Collage Card Box

Seasons greetings box
I needed a box to hold the Christmas Collage cards I made last week….and then it came to me…how cute would it look if I used the Sweet Treat Cups!!

I used the skaters from the Winter Post stamp set and added some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder with some Champagne Glass Glitter (you'll see the mixture in the video).

Here's a picture of the box open.

Christmas Collage

Christmas collage 1If you received week two of my 12 Weeks of Christmas …this card is very similar.  I had a hard time deciding which I liked best!!  So, I'm going to share the other two on my blog.

I love the Christmas Collage background stamp!!! But …if you decide to order it…you might want to also order Bells & Boughs stamp set on page 19 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. That way you could use the "Merry Christmas" greeting that matches this stamp.   I thought using the Curly Cute stamp set was a good choice….but…if I had the Bells & Boughs I would have used it!  (Ordered it yesterday.)

Christmas Collage 2
In person this card is really beautiful!! I wish I could make it shine on my blog the way it does in person….the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol adds the perfect touch to this card.

I really think this will be my card this year…still not sure which one I'll make….. but I ordered more Crumb Cake card stock & Crochet Trim yesterday.

Click here if you'd like to watch my Video Tutorial on My Chic n Scratch Live! website.

Here's my 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 version.

Candy Cane Christmas Card Box

  Candy Cane Christmas box
This box is the same box as my 12 x 12 Box or the Spider Box …..all you do is add a lid instead of the handles.  I absolutely love it!!  I made it Saturday on UStream and I think it turned out perfect.

I used the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Paper with A Cute Christmas stamp set out of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  And….. look how cute the Candy Cane Button is with the Marina Mist 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (although it's Baja Breeze in the paper I figured it looked good enough for me).

Click here if you'd like to watch the UStream video or this afternoon I'll post a shorter video on You Tube.

Mini Lunch Sack Treat Holder

Joy chocolate treat

Do you hate to throw things away?   For example our buttons or brad containers?  I am always stashing stuff like that away because I know I can find a use for it some day 🙂  Go with me here…I know some of you can relate!

So, long story short I made this little candy holder out of the leftover piece from the Mini Lunch Sack.  I cut the lunch sack at 4-3/8 for the Treat Bag and the piece leftover is for this project. It holds a gift card perfectly and it will even hold a Ghirardelli chocolate or a Hershey/Kit Kat Bar.

I used Early Espresso card stock with Very Vanilla. I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and sponged some Soft Suede over it (my replacement for close to cocoa or creamy caramel).  Next I sponged some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint over it.

The “Joy at Christmas” is from the Perfect Punches stamp set & I stamped it twice. I punched the center out with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch & added it with a Dimensional.  Did you see the little pearl?

I’ve made a video on how to make the one for my Halloween Class, click here if you’d like to watch it on my Chic n Scratch Live! website.

Here’s the version I shared on UStream.

Halloween Bingo

Halloween Bingo

Stamp club was yesterday & we made these Halloween Bingo cards out of the Nite Owl Designer Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I love Bingo!!! & it's one of few games that I can win….seriously!!  If you're a fan of Bingo too and would like to get them…….the Nite Owl Designer Paper has two sheets of this paper that equals to 8 Bingo Boards.

For my Bingo Buttons (is that what they're called) I punched 3/4 squares with the 3/4 square punch and punched 1/2 circles out of the coordinating paper.  I put them in one of our retired Glassine Bags and wrapped the Raven Lace Trim around it.
