January 2011 Thank you cards

Jan 2011 free cards My thank you cards for January use the Thanks for Caring stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog ….along with So Happy For You stamp set that will be Free with a minimum order starting January 25th…when the Sale-a-bration catalog goes live!

The butterfly & flower in the Thanks for Caring set will be one I use a lot over the next four months (the life of the Occasions Mini Catalog)!!  One of the reasons I like it so much is I can stamp the image with Stazon ink and just daube on a little color using the Sponge Daubers.  I love quick & simple cards that are also pretty!!!

XOXO Valentine Card

Xoxo card
This Valentine card was made using the XOXO stamp set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog

If you'd like to make this card here are the instructions:

Cut your Real Red card stock at 8-1/2 x 4-1/4 and score it at 4-1/4.  Emboss the card with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

You stamp the main image with Real Red ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 2-1/2 x 2-1/2.  Wrap the Real Red 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon around it and attach to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next you'll stamp the Hugs & Kisses onto a piece of white card stock that measures 1-7/16 x 1 and pop it up with Dimensionals as well.  (You may need to stamp the greeting and then cut it down to 1-7/16 x 1….I found it easier to do it that way.)

Thanks for stopping by!!

November Thank you Cards

Nov-2010-thank-you

My project today is my November thank you card….. I love one layer cards!!!

I used the Peaceful Season stamp set out of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I embossed the Whisper White card stock with the Northern Flurry embossing folder, I stamped the greeting with Crumb Cake ink, sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and then lightly misted it with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol.

Click here if you'd like to see the video on how to make this card.

Everyone that places an order with me during the month of November will receive one of these cards.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. I've not felt well since Saturday (after the glitter thing) …… I spent half of yesterday in bed.   I'm a tad behind on emails but will try to get through them today!!

Halloween cards

Good morning!!

I spent yesterday working on my first project for My Chic n Scratch Classroom and I'm so stinkin excited!  I was ping ponging back & forth about whether or not to do a Wow Project.  On one hand I didn't want it to be so wow that all the future projects would be a let down….but on the other hand I've received so many kind emails that it just makes me want to do more!  It's amazing at how encouraging words makes you feel like you can do anything.

So…since I was busy working on that….I didn't create anything for my blog…but I do have three very lovely cards I've received from friends that I'm going to share with you.

Jills-Dark-&-Dreary
This first card was made by Jill and she brought me a card after I loaned her a few things before an event.  Don't you love how she sponged the black on the web instead of the shimmer paint?

De's-Halloween-card
The next card was made by De and she sent it to me for my Stampin' Up! anniversary (8 years Saturday).  Isn't it just awesome!!  And don't you love how she added the orange tulle?   Thanks De!!  and thanks for the awesome marshmallows 🙂

Every-little-bit
My final card was made by Jennifer and she used the Every Little Bit stamp set with the Teeny Tiny WIshes. She gathered the Pumpkin ribbon by sewing one line down the middle and then pulled one thread.

Have a great day!!

p.s. My next Stamp with Chic n Scratch  live stream on UStream is Saturday…at noon Central time.

Morning Cup stamp set

CoffeeI’m sharing a non holiday card today….I’ll admit it feels a little strange since I’ve been bouncing back & forth between Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas.

And I can’t take credit for this card…my downline Jennifer made it and anytime she brings her cards over to show me I snap pictures.

She used the Morning Cup stamp set with the Elegant Soiree Designer Paper…..& don’t you love how she added the Linen Thread?

A couple notes:  Preparing for Stamp Club…put I’m a tad behind on emails…will try to get caught up on some of them when I’m getting my hair done today.

My sister and daddy are coming to town Friday and I’ll be with them until Sunday….so, we’ll be streaming Live on UStream Thursday at 7pmChanged to Sunday at 3pm. (I’m not streaming on Saturday but will resume the Saturday streams the following week.)

Have a great day!!

Christmas Collage Card Box

Seasons greetings box
I needed a box to hold the Christmas Collage cards I made last week….and then it came to me…how cute would it look if I used the Sweet Treat Cups!!

I used the skaters from the Winter Post stamp set and added some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder with some Champagne Glass Glitter (you'll see the mixture in the video).

Here's a picture of the box open.

We made this box on UStream Saturday and I've filmed a video for You Tube. Click here if you'd like to watch the video.

October Thank you Card

October Thank you cards
The Day of Gratitude stamp set is beautiful and I just had to use it for my October Thank you cards!!  Everyone that places a Stampin' Up! order with me during the month of October will receive one of these full size cards in the mail.  I've heard from a few of you and I'm happy to hear you were surprised!! (especially because I've been sending them out a little earlier.)

The colors I used were Old Olive, Cajun Craze & More Mustard.  We used Early Espresso for the Greeting and used the Decorative Label.

If you're one of my UStream followers…..tune in tomorrow for Stamp with Chic n Scratch …noon Central time….I'll post the button on my blog and tweet it on Twitter but it starts.

Now for a question or statement….not sure what you'd call it….I'm working on designing my November Thank you card. And I'm faced with a dilemnia….for September I sent Halloween cards….but some of you do not celebrate that holiday.  But on the other hand a very large percentage does.  So, I'm approaching the same situation with Christmas.   If you receive a Holiday card from me and you do not celebrate Christmas, I apologize in advance.  But just maybe …… could you give it to someone that does and it would make their day?

A Cute Christmas Card

Seasons greetings This card was made using the same pieces I used making the Christmas Card Box ealier this week. Truth be told I actually lifted it…and attached it to a white piece of card stock.   You can call me lazy today 🙂

I used A cute Christmas stamp set & colored the trees with my Aqua Painter Click here if you'd like to see the video for the box.

I'll be streaming at noon tomorrow on UStream ….no plans yet …..this week has been crazy and it just keeps going.  Homecoming dance is tomorrow night and I get to be the driver….I'm excited ….I think 🙂
