Sweet Birthday Box

sweetbirthdayboxb

My project today was designed for my downline (Chics Paper Ink).

Last month I decided to start sending kits again … since the majority of my team live far away ….  I want them to know I appreciate them and kits are my way of saying thank you.

For March their kit is the Gift Bag that I shared on my birthday …. picture below.  Because I used the In Color DSP Stacks … each person will get either Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding or Crisp Cantaloupe.

For April  … it will be the Sweet Birthday Box using one piece of the leftover Designer Series Paper. The May kit could possibly be the other other left over piece.

I bet a few of you are wanting to know how I prepare these kits … so here it goes.

I use a CARL Heavy Duty Rotary Paper Trimmer and can cut 6 to 8 pieces of DSP at one time. Click on the picture below and it will take you to Amazon (where I purchased it).  The trimmer works like a charm and does a much better job than all the past industrial trimmers I’ve purchased (the larger ones cut more card stock … but I found the measurements were in-accurate. I can’t tell you how happy I am to be able to cut exact measurements (one of my pet peeves).  For every day use .. I use my Stampin’ Trimmer and the Tabletop Trimmer from Stampin’ Up!  Bulk jobs … CARL all the way!

Here’s the picture I shared on Facebook last night (after all the cutting and scoring had been done). I had help!!

Since I’m not feeling well this week I’m not able to work at my normal speed.  So, I’ll share the video tomorrow.

In the meantime … lets have some fun … how many kits do you think this is?  I’ll give away one kit to the person that guesses it or gets the closest … in the event of a tie .. I will send them a question to break the tie.

Congrats Laura!! You guessed 141 and the total was 145 … we’ve sent you an email asking for your address.

Thanks & have a wonderful day!

  3. Angie,
I clicked on the Carl cutter image you have on your post and it took me to a model #238N that is on sale for $101.93 (reg.-$138.59). It is a 12″ that cuts up to 36 sheets. Is this the same one you have??

  6. First, I am sorry you’re not feeling well…. Hope you get better FAST! We don’t like it when you’re sad and not feeling well. 🙁 Anyway, at first I thought I am going to try to count these pieces of paper. Then I re-read and it says “kits”. So, I’m guessing 77 kits.

  11. Cute projects. I am guessing you used one pack of a Designer series paper, which is 40 sheets. The project looks like it took 1/4 of a 12×12 sheet. So my guess is 160 kits. Thanks for sharing your lovely ideas. I hope you feel better soon.
