Blessing Mix Jar

Stampin’ Up! Blessing Mix

 Blessing-Mix-Jar_c

For 2013 my Blessing Mix is in a Wide Mouth Ball Jar and there’s no stamping involved…. but you could add a cute little tag if you have time.

Since I’ve been traveling the entire month of November I needed something really quick and simple and the jar is just the ticket … with the Burlap of course … I love that stuff!!

Here’s the Blessing Mix Poem:

The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.
The Pretzels represent arms folded in Thanks & Prayer.
The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day because the food was scarce.
The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration of the harvest.
The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous harvest of the next season if they are planted & well tended.

  1. Hi Angie,
Thanks for sharing the idea for a quick and easy favor. I wouldn’t mind just getting a copy of the poem in the circle . I can’t seem to find a poem printed that has the same items in it. I looked at several and m&m’s are in it.
Thanks and have a nice day.

  6. I love the poem. I was trying to decide what to put on the places for Thanksgiving, now I know. Just have to decide on the vehicle that will hold the blessing mix. Thanks for your great ideas. Ilena

  7. I got hooked on making up the Blessing Mix for my family {and church family} after watching one of your videos several years ago, and I always look forward to seeing how you creatively package them. The past few weeks have been so busy, and I’ve been trying to figure out a way to package them that didn’t take so much time. LOVE this! It’s beautiful – yet not so time consuming. THANK YOU for always coming up with wonderful, creative ideas! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
