Valentine Nerds & How I organize my Framelits

I received enough requests to film a video on the Valentine Nerds ….and this time I used Melon Mambo instead of Real Red. Thanks Ladies!!

The mesasurements for this project needs a scoring tool that can score 16ths. The Paper Cutter works great for that. Here's the measurements (the one I posted earlier was wrong). Card Stock measures 7-1/2 x 3-3/4 & score at 1-18, 1-7/8, 4-5/16, 5-1/16.

I also wanted to share with you how to organize the Framelits (it's also in the video with the Valentine Nerds Box).

I use the Clear Mount Stamp Case and label it with my handy dandy PTouch. (I've been using a PTouch …made by Brother since 1992.) You have two options for keeping them in the Stamp Case …you can use the cardboard that came with it …or you can use a Magnet sheet. Long term I think the Magnet sheet is going to be the best.

Candy Conversations Nerds

My project today is the Candy Conversations Nerds. I used the Candy Conversations stamp from the A la Carte page in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

To make the cover for the Valentine Nerds I used Real Red card stock that measures 7-1/2 x 3-1/4 and scored it at 2-3/8, 3-3/16, 5-5/8, 6-3/8.

I added a piece of Real Red Designer Paper from the Brights Stacks and then I used the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out three of the hearts. The smallest heart is made with the Candy Conversations stamp … I stamped it in Real Red ink and then cut it out with the Small Heart punch.

I added all the hearts with a Stampin Dimensional.

How to cut and emboss with the Framelits

On Saturday I figured out how to cut and emboss with the Framelits and I'm pretty sure you're going to love them!!! I demonstrated it live on UStream ….and ….we also figured out how to emboss ….even if you don't own the Tab 2 Multi Purpose Platform.

I've got three cards to share with you …the first one is …. I embossed the heart on the white card stock and added a heart from the P.S. I love you stamp set with a Stampin Dimensional. (It may be hard to see the embossed heart on the white card stock.)

The next picture is the same card ….but I used Real Red card stock in place of the Whisper White.

The last card is I used the Framelits to cut the heart out of the white card stock and then I added the heart from P.S. I love you stamp set to the inside …with a Stampin Dimensional.

My Chic n Scratch January Thank You Card

My January Thank you Card is a little unique this month …not only do you get the card but you also get a matching envelope that I've made using the Medium Envelopes. When it arrives at your house they will be packaged with the Clear Envelopes (everyone loves getting those) so that you can use the envelope with the card if you'd like.

This card measures 4 x 4 and was made with the P.S. I Love You stamp set featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I used the Designer Series Paper Stacks (Brights & In- Color) & there are four colors …… Real Red, Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo & Regal Rose.

Easy Events Valentine Nerds

My project today is the Easy Events Valentine Nerds.

I make these every year for Valentines Day and this year I choose the Easy Events stamp set with the Framelits. Speaking of the Labels Collection Framelits …. they will be available starting tomorrow. I can't wait!! I love them!!

To make this project I used a piece of Real Red card stock that measures 7-1/4 x 3-1/4. You score it @ 1-1/8, 1-7/8, 4-5/16, 5-1/6. It's super easy and you can whip out a whole punch very quickly. (You can find these boxes of Nerds at Walgreens …they have the best selection of candy!)

I stamped the Easy Events image with Black Stazon ink and used the Aqua Painter with Old Olive ink to color the tree. I also used Soft Suede ink and the Real Red Marker.

I wrapped the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon around it to keep it closed and I used Dimensionals to pop the image up.

You Are Loved Stamp Set

I love making simple one layer cards and I thought I should get started with some Valentine projects.

I used the You Are Loved Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini Catalog …which ends tomorrow. I think the You Are Loved stamp set is retiring …I looked and can't find that it's being carried over …if any of my fellow demos knows differently please lt me know.

This card measures 4 x 4 and I used Lucky Limeaid and Blushing Bride Markers to color the image.

Happy Valentines Day!!

To make up for all the days I've missed posting this month…I'm going to share with you all the cards that I meant to post 🙂

The first card was my warm up card way back when I first purchased the Be My Valentine Stamp on page 43 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. (I love that stamp!!)

The next card was made using the I {heart} Hearts stamp set with the Valentine Defined stamp set. The colors are Soft Suede & Pretty in Pink & don't you love the Very Vanilla Seam Binding?

Isn't this a fun card? I have to admit I did not make it but had to share it with you. One of my downline girls brought it to me. She used the Aviary stamp set with the Valentine Defined.

The Expresso card was embossed with Clear Embossing Powder with the En Francais background stamp. The little hearts were cut out with the Heart to Heart punch.

This card was made with the Always Stamp set with Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black & Very Vanilla.

This little 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 card was made with the Broadsheet Alphabet with Melon Mambo.

And the final card also uses Melon Mambo with the I {heart} Hearts stamp set.

Thanks for all the well wishes last week!! I'm happy to report I feel tons better (thank goodness for pain meds). I go next week to get the stitches out.

Tomorrow is local Stamp Club (morning session is moved to 10am…evening session stays the same at 7pm).

For all of you that have been waiting patiently to hear about Chase's leg…. the six months wait is finally over and his appt is tomorrow. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow!

Hershey Nugget Box

Isn't this little box cute? It will hold two Hershey Nuggets 🙂

I used the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stacks for the box and to close it I used the 1/2 Circle Punch with the Rhinestone Brads.

I have a couple more boxes to show you and I'm working on the video…. I should have it ready for tomorrow.

Valentine Box

My project today is a simple box that will hold a variety of Valentine candy.

I used the Love Impressions Designer Paper with the XOXO stamp set.

I colored the image using the Basic Gray & Real Red Marker. I cut the image out with the Curly Label Punch. The Real Red layer was cut out with the Movers & Shapers Curly Label.

Valentine Card

Today's Valentine card measures 5 x 5 and will fit into the 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 envelope sold on page 171 in the Idea Book & Catalog.

The base of the card is Riding Hood Red & we cut the Love Letter Designer Paper with the Scallop Square Die.

The image from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set is stamped on Naturals Ivory card stock and colored with a Blender Pen.

If you're looking for the Petal Cone Ice Cream card video…..I filmed it yesterday and will load it on You Tube asap. I'll post it when it's ready.
