Valentine Treat Holder

My project today is a Valentine Treat Holder…… one that I make every year.
This time I used the Love Bandit stamp set and I made it in two colors trying to decide which I liked best.

You tell me which one do you think I liked best?
I made 40 of them for the Regional meeting on Saturday
(or I should say I'm in the process of making them).

I've filmed a video on how to make it with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.
Click here  if you'd like to head over to my Chic n Scratch Live! website to watch the video.

Thanks for joining me!!

Happy Moments & Well Scripted

I arrived safely in Phoenix and I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

My card today uses two brand new sets.  I guess you could say they're my favorites for now 🙂

The flowers are from the Happy Moments stamp set and it's on page 5 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure.
The beautiful "happy birthday" is from the Well Scripted stamp set and it's on page 19 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I've filmed a video for this card and it's posted on my Chic n Scratch Live! website.  Click here if you'd like to go there now.

Thanks for joining me!!

Movers & Shapers Matchbox

My project today uses three new stamp sets with the Matchbox.

The little owl is from the Love Bandit stamp set that will be featured in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog

The "thank you" is from the Happy Moments stamp set and it's featured in the 2010 Sale-a-bration Catalog.

And the frame around the owl is from the Vintage Labels stamp set ……. found in the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Here's a picture of the inside.

Both catalogs will go live on Jan. 5th, 2010.

I placed the owl and the thank you on the clear block together and stamped it in the middle of the frame.  I punched the image out with the Curly Label Punch and the Melon Mambo piece you see behind it came from the Curly Label Movers & Shapers.

I filmed a video on how to use the Movers & Shapers without using the Curly Label die and will load it on You Tube this evening (my way special of using the Magnetic dies).

Thanks for joining me!

p.s. still at the hospital with Dave….when we get home…I'll load the video on You Tube.

Occasions Mini Catalog & Clear Mount Stamps

I probably say this every time but I’m going to say it again….the Occasions Mini Catalog will knock your socks off.  And if you’ve placed a Stampin’ Up! order with me,  you can expect to receive your catalog right before it’s released.

Would you like some details?   I can hardly contain my excitement!!  Stampin’ Up! will have the option of  Clear Mount Stamps.  I’ve been a fan of clear blocks for a long time and have even altered some of my stamps to go on clear blocks (it’s not hard to do).   This past summer I even took one  to Convention and we used it at the Shoebox Swap (from the Punch Pals stamp set).  I told them it’s a Stampin’ Up! stamp just on a clear block.

If you’re wood stamp fan ….not a problem, you’ll still have that option.  But I’m going to challenge you to give it a try.  Especially because I know when Stampin’ Up! releases something it will be of quality.  I’ve purchased a lot of contraband over the years …I’m a paper crafter by heart and that means I shop around & keep my eyes on the latest trends.  And ….. I’ve bought a lot of clear stamps that no longer work ….. there is a difference….this is important.  They are not clear stamps, they are clear mounted.  I believe this is the key to the product lasting & a clear image (that means no fuzzy image).  I’m not a expert but…….through trial & error you can learn a lot.

As soon as I can get my hands on the Clear Mount Stamps & Blocks I’ll share it with you.

I’ll stop my post here and share the Sale-a-bration 2010 news soon!  Sale-a-bration starts with the Occasions Mini Catalog on Jan. 5th.  What is Sale-a-bration?  You earn a free item with every $50 you spend (before tax & shipping).

Thanks!

Click here if you’d like to place a Stampin’ Up! order.

p.s. I’m going to ask an off the wall question and if you don’t mind would you email me your opinion to mychicnscratch@aol.com.  Who would like me to film a live broadcast of me opening my Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog pre-order?  I’ve seen people do it with other product  (for example I watched someone on You Tube unpack their new iMac and I was glued to the screen!!).  Let me know what you think.

December Free Stamp set or Purse

My post today is going to be a Hodgepodge of things!!   I’d like to start off by saying “Thanks” to all the ladies that purchased Stampin’ Up! product from me during my Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale.  Thank you!!

I filmed my first live stream on UStream today and I’m not sure if I even did it right.  It was live and I think I may have repeated myself too many times …oh well, I’m learning.  I’ll continue to educate myself on it and see what kind of fun we can have with it.  For example, posting the winners names…maybe next time I’ll just draw the name and save the release of the next months product for my blog post (I’m rattling…so I’ll stop here).

If you’d like to see that video, it’s posted on my channel on You Tube (chicnscratch) or on UStream.

The winners for the November Stamp set & purse are Dawn Guerriero & Sue Speigner.  Congrats ladies!!  Dawn, you have your choice of the purse or the stamp set….just let me know which item you’d like.

Now for the December Free Stamp Set or Purse ……. (two winners, the first name drawn will get 1st choice & it will be broadcast live on UStream).

Dec Free purse

I made this Wild Thyme purse with the Scallop Square Die & the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.  I’m working on a Tutorial and as soon as I get it figured out I’ll be sure to let you know.  This bag is my 4th attempt at a bag for my Kindle ….or is it my fifth? (I’ve since moved on and I’m making larger purses….you’ll see very soon).  I’m happy with this size and I think it’s perfect for my Kindle plus a few other items.

The Free Stamp set for December is Fox & Friends & it’s a set that will be available in January in the Occasions Mini Catalog. (If you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator you can pre-order it now.)

December 3rd update….I’m very sorry but the Fox & Friends stamp set can not be given for free this month. I didn’t realize that it’s against the rules for me to give a set away before it’s available to purchase.  I’ll figure out what set I can offer you in the next few days.

My next picture is a couple quick & easy cards I made using the Fox & Friends stamp set. We all know I like cards I can whip out really fast and these darling images puts a smile on my face!!

Fox & Friends card

Next is a larger image of the purse…I couldn’t figure out which one to show you so I’m posting both of them.

Scallop Square Purse

The final picture of the day cracks me up!! Over the weekend I ask David to lift my table where I cut my fabric.  Leaning over was really getting to my back. So, I googled how to raise my 6″ table and it said to use PVC pipe.   Well, we did it…and here’s the results……

Table legs

Isn’t that funny looking?  But you know…..it works!  No more hurting my back when I’m cutting fabric!  I’m thinking I need to cover up those legs…..I see a glimpse of them from the corner of my eye and I swear it reminds me of horses legs being wrapped!

Sorry for the long post….have a great night!!

thanks!!

Display 18 Good morning!!

I really wanted to stamp this week but it looks like I'll continue to play catch-up.  I've had a busy week of appointments and all I really want to do is lock myself in my stamp room (you can relate can't you?).

So, today I'll show you some samples that I took pictures on the Incentive trip. All of these photos are in the Incentive Trip photo album on the right side of this blog. (I'll add more photos this weekend.)

All these projects were made with items from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The top left project is the Matchbox Big XL die on page 16.  The sentiments on both projects are Matchbox Messages on page 17. Don't you love that train?  That's from the Choo Choo stamp set on page 18.  (That set reminds me of the days when Chase carried his trains everywhere.)

The next picture is the same box with the Brand New Window Sheets, found on page 10.  If you're like me, you might have missed the little note that shows they're 12 x 12 sheets (I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box).

Thanks for stopping by…..have a great day!!

p.s. Thanks for all the Chic Stand orders!!  I can't wait to hear what you think about the new size 🙂

p.s.s. I'm working a couple new videos this weekend and one of them is the Matchbox die….stay tuned!
