Be my Valentine

Be My Valentine trifold
The Be my Valentine stamp is one of my favorite items in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Starting tomorrow you can order from the Occasions Mini Catalog!!  Watch out …over the weekend I made several cards using this stamp and designer paper!!

I believe this is called a Trifold card ….. I haven't made one of them in a few years…when I saw the heart ….. it just said trifold to me 🙂

I used the Love Letter Designer Paper with Riding Hood Red card stock and ink.  I stamped the image with Riding Hood Red and then Rock & Rolled it with Early Espresso ink.  I used the Mat Pack with the Paper Piercer to align the holes for the Metallic Brads.

Mother’s Day Scallop Hugs Box

Mother Scallop Hugs

I used the Messages for Mom stamp set (retiring April 30th) and I stamped the image with Chocolate Chip ink and then cut it out. I used a Blender Pen to color the M with Pink Pirouette ink.

The flower was made with 6 scallop circles made out of the Sweet Pea Designer Paper (retiring April 30th) & the Scallop Circle Punch.  Click here if you'd like to see how to make a flower similar to this one (only difference is this one is 6 scallops).

I hope you're not tired of seeing these boxes!!  Remember when I said I couldn't stop making them?  (I only have a few more to show you.)

Good morning,

Here’s another Scallop Hugs Box that I made using the Sending Love Notes.  The stamp set is not one you’ve seen yet but you will soon.  It’s the Go, Graduate Stamp set on page 24 of the Summer Mini Catalog.  (If you like it you can order in starting May 1st.)

I choose Red & Black because that’s the Blue Valley West High Schools colors and thought that was a great choice to start with!!   I love the rolled up Ben Franklin ($100 bill).  We always give cash for graduates because we know how much they want/need money and this is totally going to be how I package my nephews graduation gift….after I find out his school colors.

I’ve got a few more of the boxes to show you but I need to insert some important info over the next two days.   Don’t forget I’m not going to be checking email ….. or have access to my cell phone until May 3rd.  (On May 1st we may have affordable coverage on the Virgin Islands but not sure.)

Scallop Hugs Box

Good morning,

Anytime I have a cute project that I've created I get so excited!  I have a bunch of these Scallop Hugs Boxes to show you and I struggled with which one to show first and which one to use for my video.  I decided on this one….but the one I'm sharing tomorrow is so stinkin cute!  (Club girls…. I made another one that you haven't seen.)

I used the Hugs Sending Love Notes from the Occasions Mini Catalog with the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  And I couldn't resist using the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt one more time before it retires April 30th!!  This box will hold a Hershey Bar, Kit Kat Bar, 3 Hershey Nuggets, Money & much more!!

Scallop Hugs Box

This box was made with the Hugs Sending Love Notes. They're on page 19 of the Occasions Mini Catalog and I can't believe I'm just now getting around to playing with them!  

I used the Fox & Friends stamp set with the Teeny Tiny Wishes.  This little box will hold a Hershey bar, a Kit Kat, 3 Hershey nuggets, money & so much more!!

I have a whole bunch of them to show you and while I'm trying to get ready for the Stampin' Up! cruise I'm going post different versions of them over the next few days.   I have a video ready to show you…I just need to edit it and get it loaded.   I'll shoot for tomorrow but it may be Thursday.

Speaking of the cruise….even though I won't have access to my blog….be sure to stay tuned.  While I'm away I've prepared posts in advance.  Some of the posts will showcase the Creative Contest entries and some will include important information regarding the end of the Occasions Mini Catalog & the start of the Summer Mini Catalog.

My card today was made with the Chocolate Bunny stamp on page 43 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I embossed the bunny with Close to Cocoa Craft ink with the Clear Embossing Powder.

The "Happy Easter" is from the Well Scripted stamp set on page 19 of the Occasions Mini and I stamped it using Timber Brown Stazon (retired).

Mini Milk Carton Birdhouse

My project today is something that I've wanted to make since I saw Patty's version at Leadership.  I would have made it on the spot if I could have gotten my hands on some supplies!!  As you all know I love birds & birdhouses and I collect both bird cages & birdhouses. 

Did I share with you the story of how Dave woke up one morning and said I couldn't buy one more bird house or cage. He had a dream that they all came crashing down on him….isn't that funny?

To make the birdhouse it's soooo easy.  All you need is the Mini Milk Carton die (found in the Occasions Mini Catalog), a piece of 2 x 4 cardstock and the Extra Large Two-Step Bird.   You score the 2 x 4 card stock in half at 2" and just assemble.  I'll be making a video once I decide which version to use for Stamp Club.  Click here to head over to my Chic n Scratch Live! website to watch the video.

I learned how to make this box last week when I was at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership & Regional meeting.  One of the perks of being a demo is all the wonderful ideas.  You can find inspiration from all over and I took two ideas from our meeting and mixed them together.     Keep reading for all the details 🙂
