I received this darling box from Colleen. It's the perfect project to post on Thanksgiving day! Don't you just love it?
She used the Top Tall Note Box for the box and the Oval is from the Frame, Oval Scallop Die #114521. She embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175 And, you can use the Two-Step Bird punch #117191for the leaves or the Leaves #2 Die #113459.
I'm so thankful for all of you and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
p.s. Tune in later for my Black Friday & Cyber Monday Special (will post it around 1am Friday morning…central time).
I started this Reindeer Food tin Saturday on UStream. But I didn't finish it…until later.
The Reindeer is from the Sparkly & Bright stamp set # 115346 and I stamped it with Early Espresso ink #119670 and then colored his nose with the Cherry Cobbler marker #119681. I applied Crystal Effects #101055 to his nose to make it shine 🙂
I added the Silver Tinsel Trim #120994 around the lid using Mini Glue Dots #103683.
Magic Reindeer Food is Oatmeal and cookie sprinkles (some use glitter instead of cookie sprinkles).
p.s. my left arm is in a sling …..I'm typing one handed. it's Thanksgiving week…..tomorrow is Chase's 18th birthday. Long story short….. I'll return to my regular working hours next week …I'm praying the sling will be gone!! See ya 🙂
Isn't this box too cute!!! When I got home from the doctors office yesterday I had a package on my kitchen counter waiting for me. And when I opened it up….Colleen had sent me three darling boxes. I couldn't get to my computer fast enough to tell her thank you …..what's so ironic about it….. is…..yesterday I posted the snowman soup box using the exact same tall top note box. Isn't it funny how we both came up with the same idea…..but yet our boxes look totally different.
Colleen, thank you so very much!! I love all three 🙂
Here's the supply list for Colleen's box: Scallop Square Die #115950, Jolly Holiday Designer Paper #117159, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding #120992. And she added Crystal Effects #101055 to all the Cherry Cobbler dots…..it's sooo cute!!
Speaking of three boxes…..since next week is Thanksgiving and Chase's 18th birthday. I'll be taking some time off. In my absense I will be posting projects sent to me from friends, downlines, upline..etc. I'll show you the other two boxes Colleen sent. I'm so very thankful for how blessed my life is and for all my friends in the stamping community! Thank you all!! (Okay I know I'm supposed to say this next week but I'm saying it now because you all will be busy too and may not make it next week.)
p.s. If you've thought about becoming a demo and want to ask me questions…I'll be hosting two segments on UStream tomorrow. At 2pm…(central time) we'll be stamping & at 3:30 I'll be doing a Q&A on the business opportunity.
Until last week my Scallop Square Die was feeling a little neglected….so I broke it out of hiding and I have a Scallop Squares & Triangle Quilt and a Snowman Soup box.
I love how I can switch back and forth between fabric and card stock with the Big Shot Dies. The reason I bring that up is I've been ask if I use one for fabric and one for card stock. The answer is no …..I use it on both…literally from one to the other.

You'll need A Cute Christmas stamp set with the Candy Cane Buttons and the Candy Cane Designer Paper. Wrap Linen Thread around the designer paper and use the Jewelry Tag Punch to punch out the Snowman Soup Tag.
Speaking of the Snowman Soup Tag & Poem. I've created a whole sheet of them. All you do is download it and then print them on Whisper White card stock.

Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set – W#121711 – C#121321
I love this card!! And I've made it using all sorts of colors…but I keep coming back to Old Olive & Early Espresso.
I'm pretty sure it's not just me ….I've looked through all sorts of magazines and chocolate/brown is a color that's being used this holiday season.
To make this card I used the Tags til Christmas stamp set and punched the image out with the Decorative Label Punch. The center strip measures 1-1/2" and is from the Brights Designer Stacks.
This card is easy to make and very affordable. You could even make the center strip a tad thinner ….like 1" and you could get 24 cards made with one sheet of designer paper.
Quick note about My Chic n Scratch Classroom…..there's just a few days left to register for the November Class. If you'd like more info, click here.
Have a great day!
p.s. Stamp with Chic n Scratch will be live on UStream Saturday at noon Central time….tune in to see me attempt to make a Snowman Soup 🙂
Tags til Christmas stamp set – W#120847 – C#121169
I had an idea……… instead of just having a wish list….this will be my Christmas Journal as well as my shopping list. In other words…everything that has to do with the Holidays…will be in this book.
And if I need to add something….I'll just tape it to a blank page (you know …like cutting a page out of a magazine).
To make this journal I kept it very simple… I used my favorite sheet in the Deck the Halls Designer Paper. I cut it to the size of the composition notebook (7 x 9-3/4). After I attached it the notebook I sanded the edges and then sponged it with Early Espresso ink.
The title is from theWelcome Christmas stamp set and the image is really easy to cut out with scissors…after I cut it out…I sponged it with Early Espresso ink.
Have a great day!!
p.s. If you'd like to see the journal a little better….you can click on the image to view it larger.
I made this version of the Blessing Mix Box using the Fancy Favor Die (this is my favorite this year). I used Chocolate Chip card stock and after I cut it to 12 x 5-1/4 I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.
I stamped the greeting from the Days of Gratitude stamp set and punched it with the Decorative Label punch. The poem is on the back of the box.

Thanks for stopping by!!
p.s Today is mine & Dave’s 19th wedding anniversary 🙂
Days of Gratitude stamp set – Wood #120835 – Clear #121148
We made a couple versions of the Blessing Mix Box ….. Saturday on UStream. And over the next couple days I’ll share them with you.
For this Blessing Mix Box I used the Box #2 Die and embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink.
I printed the Poem on Very Vanilla card stock and added it to a Scallop Circle from the Scallop Circles #2 die. I used the Days of Gratitude stamp set to stamp around the edges and sponged it with More Mustard.
I added the ingredients into a Small Cello Bag and tied it with the Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. The ingredients include, Bugles, Pretzels, Candy Corn, Peanuts & Orange Slices. I’ve posted the poem on the left side bar….scroll down mid way. I’m working on the pdf and will get it posted later today (6 to a page verses one).
The final piece was adding the Antique Brad in the corner.
I’ve filmed a video and it’s ready to go….click here to watch it on my Chic n Scratch Live! website.
Here’s the Blessing Mix Poem.
The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.
The Pretzels represent arms folded in Thanks & Prayer.
The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day.
because the food was scarce.
The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration
of the harvest.
The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous
harvest of the next season if they are planted & well-tended.
A Very Big THANK YOU goes out to everyone that put up with me on Saturday during the live stream on UStream…… even though I didn’t feel good you all were very nice and I love you!!
p.s. Congrats Theresa ….you won the free make n take packet!! Please send me an email with your address included. (Below is Theresa’s comment.)
Ang….
This was my second time joining and I have to say AGAIN that you out did yourself. Especially when you weren’t feeling 100% better. You did great and I loved the project!!!
I started this Top Note Bag a few weeks ago and never finished it & since I'm not feeling a 100% I decided to call it done :) I think it's super cute…but I was thinking of adding a greeting with a tag….maybe.
The darling cat is from the Merry Crittermas stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog and I used the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty paper with the Top Note Die. The lunch sacks are on page 13 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and I love them!!
I used Baja Breeze with Pink Pirouette on the cat and sponged the edges with White Craft ink. Around the handle I tied the Clear Tinsel Trim with the White Taffeta Ribbon.
Regarding stamping live on UStream…..I still plan on tomorrow, Saturday at noon central time. But please check my blog first. If I wake up feeling worse…….I'll need to cancel. But the doc said a couple days of meds would make me feel better.
Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday!! I had my laptop in bed with me and it was nice hearing from all of you!! What is it ……when you're sick you just wish you had someone with you?
