Founders Circle Swap

Founders Circle Swap

Here’s my swap that I took to Founders Circle.  Can you believe I made 125 of these? (I had A LOT of help!!!)

I used the Two Tags Die and …. before I cut the tags out of the Big Shot I embossed a piece of Old Olive card stock that measures 5 x 3 with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. If you cut the tag and then emboss it …it will cut the score line.

I used the Kidoodles stamp set with with Watercolor Paper.  I colored his legs and hat with a Blender Pen and colored the rest with the Aqua Painter.  The colors were Old Olive & Basic Gray.

The little box inside is 4-3/4 x 3-1/8 and you score it at 1″ on all four sides.

I demonstrated this project on my live stream yesterday … but I’ll be filming a You Tube version this weekend.  Click here if you’d like to watch the UStream version (ignore my lane swerves).

Thanks & have a great day!!

Spooky Bingo Bits Matchbox

Spooky Bingo Bits matchbox This morning I posted a question on my Chic n Scratch Facebook Page  ….if they’d like to see a few another project made with the Matchbox Die …most of them said yes …..and  I couldn’t resist making two more…since Halloween crafts are my favorite!!

For the first box I used the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and I decided to keep it simple.  I used the technique I showed in my It’s a Wrap Matchbox video for making the squares fit in the Scallop Square.

The next picture is the Dark & Dreary Matchbox ….I’m so happy that stamp set was carried over from the Holiday Mini Catalog!!

Dark & Dreay matchbox I used the Wicked Cool stamp set for the greeting and I embossed the top of the matchbox with the Spider Web Embossing Folder.  I sprayed it with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint & alcohol.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween | Frankie Box

Frankenstein-2010n2Yesterday we made the Frankenstein box on UStream….doesn’t he put a smile on your face?  I’ve been hooked on making Frankenstein faces since my friend Julie shared it with me many years ago. Every year we just change him up a bit 🙂

If you watched my live show on UStream….I made some changes….I figured out that his eyes needed to be bigger. So…if you like the one on the right…bigger eyes is the only difference….wait ….I also used Pear Pizzazz instead of Old Olive.

Click below if you’d like to watch a video on how to make the Frankenstein Box. Also known as Frankie Box or Franky Box.

Batty for you Origami Box

Spider-origami

My project today is an Origami Box using the Batty for you stamp set with the Wicked Fun Specialty paper. I just had to show you another Halloween project 🙂

I realized yesterday that I never posted the video for the Origami box (that day was stressful..the phone rang and the dogs barked….I messed up the ribbon….etc..).  But I think it's good enough to show you (I hope).

I'm going to finish editing it and post it this afternoon…..just a reminder the construction of the box will be the same…but the decoration is a little different.  Click here to watch the Halloween Origami Box video.

Tomomorrow I'll be streaming live at noon on UStream, click here to check out my Stamp with Chic n Scratch channel.

One more note…..The Chic n Scratch Classroom is going to be under construction this weekend…all the buttons should work..but the decor will change ….(I'm getting an error message on my template..so I'm going to uninstall and reinstall and make some changes..thanks for the feedback!! I really appreciate it.)

Thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. I need a favor….the holidays are a stressful time…I get it.  But please keep negative comments and behavior away from my blog.  If you feel the need to take a stab at something or someone ….wait 24 hours….and just maybe the feeling has passed and you won't feel the need.  Ever heard the phrase walk a mile in my shoes before you cast stones?   I'm sorry for posting this …but sometimes we all need reminders…myself included.  Have a great day…and do something nice for someone you love 🙂

Halloween cards

Good morning!!

I spent yesterday working on my first project for My Chic n Scratch Classroom and I'm so stinkin excited!  I was ping ponging back & forth about whether or not to do a Wow Project.  On one hand I didn't want it to be so wow that all the future projects would be a let down….but on the other hand I've received so many kind emails that it just makes me want to do more!  It's amazing at how encouraging words makes you feel like you can do anything.

So…since I was busy working on that….I didn't create anything for my blog…but I do have three very lovely cards I've received from friends that I'm going to share with you.

Jills-Dark-&-Dreary
This first card was made by Jill and she brought me a card after I loaned her a few things before an event.  Don't you love how she sponged the black on the web instead of the shimmer paint?

De's-Halloween-card
The next card was made by De and she sent it to me for my Stampin' Up! anniversary (8 years Saturday).  Isn't it just awesome!!  And don't you love how she added the orange tulle?   Thanks De!!  and thanks for the awesome marshmallows 🙂

Every-little-bit
My final card was made by Jennifer and she used the Every Little Bit stamp set with the Teeny Tiny WIshes. She gathered the Pumpkin ribbon by sewing one line down the middle and then pulled one thread.

Have a great day!!
