Botanical Blooms

Botancial Blooms Good morning!!

My card today is a totally case (copy & and share everything). When I received my Stampin’ Success magazine this week I knew that I would be making this card. (Stampin’ Success is the monthly magazine that Stampin’ Up! sends to their demonstrators….I usually stalk the mail box the week prior to getting it.)

I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set with the Congrats stamp set and both are in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  I will admit I’ve neglected both of them…but I’ll try to show you some more ideas soon.

I made this card for a couple reasons…one because I couldn’t resist…..it’s so pretty.  But the main reason is for the new girls that have joined my team….this is a perfect example of using your resources. I could have changed the colors….or the stamp set …but instead I copied it exactly :)  Whether you create it or someone else did…..your customers will be happy to make it (especially when you’re just getting started).

Don’t forget if you’d like to join my team….now is the best time.  The Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit is on sale for $169 and you get to choose any FREE stamp set you’d like in addition to the wonderful kit…and don’t forget about my little joining gift.  If you need more info, just let me know.

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. I’m headed to the dentist today….I need a crown and a filling & I’m a nervous wreck.  Dave has to take me and I have to take some meds that will hopefully knock me out.  I’ll try to check in mid day tomorrow :)  Wish me luck!!

Quilt Quips

Quilt Quips Good morning!!

Don’t you love the Quilt Quips stamp set ?  I do & although I don’t have a clue how to quilt….. I love them!  If stamping/paper crafts wasn’t my thing I would totally pick up quilting!!  (I know some of you are saying I could do both….not me I’m the kind of person that does things 100%…could you imagine if I did that with stamping & quilting…yikes!!)

I stamped the butterfly with Stazon ink and then colored it with Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery & Barely Banana with my Aqua Painter.  I cut the image out with my scissors and then used a Stampin’ Dimensional and added it to the Scallop Square.  I pierced the scallops with a Paper Piercer from the Crafters Took Kit & my Chic Stand(still on backorder …but should be arriving soon).

Have a great day!

p.s. I made today’s card while I was on the phone with my daddy :)  don’t look to closely at the coloring.

Flower Fancy

Flower Fancy Good morning!

Today’s card uses the Flower Fancy stamp set with the Baja Breeze cardstock.

I stamped the background of the Baja Breeze cardstock with an image from the Friends 24-7 stamp set and sponged the edges with Close to Cocoa.

The word “Friends” is also from the Friends 24-7 stamp set (I went from one bird to another Cheep Talk to Friends 24-7).

The designer paper is from the Parisian Breeze Specialty Textured Paper on page 158 and I love it…so much so that I didn’t want to cut it (need to remind myself…quit saving it…I know some of you can relate).

Have a fantastic Friday!!

p.s. I have some projects & videos I’m working on….but I’m spacing them out.  The Stampin’ Up! Hawaii trip is in less than a month and I’m trying to get ahead on a few things so I can enjoy my vacation. (One more thank you to all the ladies that ordered from me when I was trying to earn the trip!! Without you it could not have happened.)

Friends 24-7

Friends Good morning!!

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday regarding my blog changes….you have no idea how hard it was to keep a secret. I've had the banner as my desktop picture on my laptop all week…it looked so good I sent my sisters a picture of it (with my cell phone).

Today's card is one I made for my SAM (Service Account Manager)…she's been a little under the weather and I wanted to make her a card.  (Sam, if you're checking this out…have a good day and take it easy.)

I could have spent some more time on this card…but I needed to get it in the mail (maybe I should have pierced the scallops….maybe added some ribbon…but I have a habit of not mailing my cards and I refuse to do that this time!!).

The white circle in the middle …is another circle from the Circles #2 Big Shot Die.  The Scallop circle is the Scallop Circles#2 Big Shot Die.  I used the Friends stamp set with Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze & a tad of Old Olive ink

Have a great day!!

Friendly Words

Friendly words Good afternoon,

Today's card was a real blessing!!  I really wanted to stamp something today but…. it did not happen.   Thanks Jill for sending me this lovely card…I love it!! And I'm very happy the Friendly Words wheel and the Friends stamp set is on it's way to my house :)))

The Friendly Words wheel was used with Chocolate Chip Ink & the darling flower is a Fleurette (on page 177). I wish my picture was better…for some reason I can't photograph chocolate very well.  See below for a complete list of supplies used.  Oops..almost forgot to mention…did you notice the new Eyelet Border punch?

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Friends & Friendly Words wheel

Ink:  Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip & Pink Pirouette

Supplies:  Eyelet Border Punch, Fleurettes, Rhinestone Brads, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon

p.s. 3-D kits were mailed today and you should have gotten an email from usps confirming it.

p.s.s.  Yesterday Chase's mouth was really hurting him (after getting braces) and I try to baby my children when they don't feel well…..so, I made him homemade chicken noodle soup.  That would explain part of the reason why I wasn't able to stamp yesterday…it only took me 3 hours to cook it (not counting the shopping). I cooked a whole chicken and then de-boned it (time consuming!!).  I thought you would like to see what it looked like :)  those puffy things you see are Bisquick dumplings…we all fight for them ….by the way he ate three bowls of it. (Chase's bowl is on the right….less carrots because of his mouth hurting.)

Video Trouble

Hi, I'm having some trouble with my videos on Veoh.  I've spent the past few hours uploading my most recent videos to a new company and they are safe.  I've also tried contacting Veoh and had no success. Sometimes you get what you pay for (Veoh was a free service).  I'm going to pay for my service with the new company and I need a favor….can you let me know if you have any trouble with the new company?  They have a 14 day money back and if it's not going to work I'd love to get my money back….ya know what I mean?

I'll post late again tomorrow…and I will be stamping….in fact I've warned everyone…I'm not leaving the house tomorrow…except to mail the 3-D Kit club projects :)  and I will try to get to the bottom of my emails too!

Here's a pretty card that Gigi sent me a while back…thanks Gigi!!   the Bella Rose designer paper is my favorite and I love this card (and you know this size card is my most favorite)!!

Goodnight!

Thoughts & Prayers

Thoughts and Prayers Good morning!!

Today's card is super easy to make and it's one of the reasons I bought the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set

I love making simple one layer cards!!  The sentiment came from another stamp set that I love and it's the Trendy Trees ( same page as the Good Friend stamp set…page 91).

I've got lots of computer work to do today!! Here's a few of the things I'm working on……

*If you joined my 3-D Kit Club, I'll be wrapping up building the new blog and if all goes well you'll get the password today or tomorrow.

*If you're a new member to My Team….I'm retyping your welcome letter today. Now that I'm offering some incentives for you, I want that in writing in your welcome letter…don't forget to check our Team Blog, I've been updating it daily this week 🙂

Thanks for stopping by….Have a great day!!

p.s. If you're placing an Online order on my Stampin' Up! website, please make sure you select your FREE Sale-a-bration choices.  The system will let you close your order without it.  We're hoping that will get fixed soon.

Animal Crackers

 Good morning animal

Good morning!!

Quick post today….my "to do list" is a mile long 🙂

I used the Animal Crackers stamp set with the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper.  I used the Texturz plates to emboss the So Saffron cardstock.   (Don't look to closely at the ribbon, I had to use some retired ribbon.  This will make you laugh…I searched every where for my Chocolate Grosgrain ribbon and after giving up, I found it right under my nose…I scare myself!)

Have a good one!

A Little Somethin’

Thanks a bunch Good morning!!

My card today is one that I made for Leadership swaps.  I’ve been so busy I almost forgot to show you.  Can I tell you a secret?  I never swapped my cards…..I worked on them on the airplane but I just never got around to attaching the scallop circle… to all 70 of them.  Now I have a nice stash of thank you cards J

I used A Little Somethin’ stamp set and it’s a Level two hostess set.  If you’d like to earn this set, now is the perfect time to host your own catalog show.  Pass the catalog around to your friends & family and don’t forget to mention Sale-a-bration!  I bet you won’t have any trouble reaching a $300 show.  (With a $300 show, that’s 6 Free Sale-a-bration sets, $35 in Free Product and a Level one or a Level two hostess set.)  Please let me know if you’d like to book a catalog show!

Several girls have ask me what are my favorite hostess sets …..here’s my list:

Level One – Darling Dots, Sweet Little Sentiments & Comfort Foods (in the order I like them ).

Level Two  A Little Somethin’ & Itty Bitty Buds

Level Three  Hand Drawn Bundle & Goody Goody Gumdrops

Currently I’m drawn to Darling Dots and A Little Somethin’ ….kinda like I was drawn to Deer Friends and Window Dressings in the last catalog.

I’ll post again later today I need to announce the FREE Stamp set for February and the winner for January.

One last note, I received a lot of questions about my scallop circles.  Yes, Stampin' Up! only has one Scallop punch….but we also have Big Shot dies that have scallops and I've been using them.  My most favorite is the Pennant Die and I can punch three at one time with a small strip of cardstock. I keep a small jar on my desk and I have a bunch of them ready at a moments notice.

Have a great day!

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss

p.s. I’ve once again pushed back a project I’m eager to show you.  I decided to film my video first.  Hopefully in a few days I'll have it ready! Two teens, two dogs, one hubby, cell phone and home phone…it's not easy finding quit time in my house lately…maybe there's something in the water :0  just kidding!!

Animal Crackers stamp set

Animal Crackers card Good morning!

Today's card is an example of the Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plates.

Don't you love the Animal Crackers stamp set? I wish it said "I quack myself up"…..just kidding …I use both phrases a lot (it's a southern thing…right?).

I posted a video on my Stampin' Academy last night. If you have any questions, please let me know.

A few questions have already been ask and I thought I would share them with you.

Q.  Why did you use the rubbing alcohol?

A.  If you spray the alcohol on your colored cardstock, it makes the embossed image more defined…or you could say "pop". Honestly, the plates work great, just the way they come.  You'll see when you get them 🙂

Q.  Do I need to buy rubbing alcohol?

A. No, you do not need it!  But there is a lot of talk about it & I like to get it out there.

Q.  One extra layer of cardstock, gets the same effect?

A. Yes

Q.  I get 6 templates for one price?

A. Yes, isn't that incredible?  Backgrounds #1 is just $11.95 for 6 patterns and the Plates Kit #4 is just $9.95 for 6 patterns.

I hope this help you all!!

Have a great day!
