Thank you cards

ForestFriends Good afternoon,

Today I stamped some much needed thank you cards!!!  I used the Forest Friends stamp set that's featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  And, the greeting came from a stamp that is FREE  when you order $40 or more from the Occasions Mini Catalog

It's the "Note of Thanks" Mini Note Kit on page 208 (the Under $10 page).  Did you notice I altered the stamp?  I decided that I would use "thank you" more often than "just had to write to say thank you".  So, I put the image on my cutting board and cut the top line off with an exacto knife (it's super easy when you use a cutting board instead of scissors).

Here's a picture of the 2nd card I made…the only difference is I added some Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon.Forest Friends card

I've had a few people ask me what my favorite is on the Under $10 page & the "Note of thanks"  Mini Note Kit takes the prize. I like several off them…but that one is more bang for you buck :)  And to top it off….. it also includes the Chocolate Stamping Spot….what a deal!!

Thanks for stopping by…..have a great evening!!

Stamps:  Forest Friends & Note of Thanks

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla & Chocolae Chip

Other:  Big Shot, Pennant Die Scallop, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon & Stampin' Dimensionals

p.s. Today is Brook's 15th birthday and here's a picture of her when we were in Hawaii. (I'm freaking out that the baby in this house is 15!!)Brook in hawaii

Scallop Forest Friends

Scallop Forest Friends Good evening!

I totally love this card….maybe because I love the Forest Friends stamp set or is it because I love the Scallop circle

I made this card for a friend today. I wasn't sure what we were doing after church on Easter.  And today one of our friends invited us for Easter dinner…… and…… I don't have to bring a thing…..just my family.  I did tell her I'd bring a dessert. I am soooooo thankful!

Here's the card details…..The stamps are Forest Friends and it can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used theChocolate Chip & Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker.  The Scallop circle is a Big Shot Die and it's the Scallop Circles #2, the circle in the middle is also a die and it's the Circles #2.  My card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and the sentiment is from the retired set Serene Spring.

Don't forget if you order $40 or more from the Occasions Mini Catalog, you get to pick a free item from the Under $10 page.

Have a good night!

p.s. I'll post the names for the Chic Stand winners tomorrow (Friday).

More ice cream :)

Ice Cream Tea Party Good evening!

If you watched my video yesterday on the Paper ice cream cone then you heard me say I would finish the card later. My post tonight is that card….and…. I decided to change it.  In the video I assembled the ice cream on the Very Vanilla Cardstock but then I decided I needed to show you the Tea Party Designer Paper one more time.

If you're looking for the perfect designer paper for Spring….Tea Party is the ticket!  One side has polka dots…the other side flowers…or one side has stripes and the other side flowers……and of course my favorite colors…Certainly Celery & Pink Pirouette

Stamp Club is tomorrow…girls if you read this in time….bring your Crop a dile…I only have two and you might not want to wait…but you can…. if you'd like.

Have a great night…thanks for stopping by!

p.s. don't forget tomorrow evening I'm drawing two names to win a Free Chic Stand.  If you haven't already subscribed to Feed burner….click on "Subscribe to Chic n Scratch by email"  (upper left corner of blog…not to be confused with my newlsetter mailing list).

Paper Ice Cream :)

Sandra's BirthdayHi,

Quick post tonight….if you'd like to learn how to make one of these paper ice cream cones, click here  to head over to my Stampin' Academy to watch a video.

To make them all you need is a Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Square Punch, Texture Plates Kit #4, Scissors & Stampin' Dimensionals.  Optional items are 2-way Glue Pen, Glitter & Sponges.

The greeting is from the Wagon Full of fun stamp set.

Have a good night 🙂

p.s.  My weekend consisted of filling Chic Stand orders & working on taxes. I know …last minute Angie with the taxes. The good news is I think I'm finished, I just emailed the last of my info to our tax lady….I think I can breathe again.)   But….Stamp club is tomorrow and I haven't begun to cut and my office is trashed.  Looks like I'll be on overdrive for one more day :)  (Never fear I work well under pressure.)  Thanks for stopping by!

Top Note Quilt

Top Note Quilt Good morning!

Isn't this card amazing?   Melissa gave me this card yesterday & I think I squealed with delight when she handed it to me.   I love it….thanks Melissa!!

I thought you all would like to know how it was made….so I wrote the instructions on a picture :)  Although some of the products are retired…I copied it exactly so you can see how it was made.  But ….can't you see the Tea Party Designer Paper with this?

She used the Top Note Die & the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate. Here's the picture…Top Note Quilt instructions (you can click on it to view it larger).

The stitching was done with a black marker & the edges were sponged.  Wouldn't you love to have a quilt with those colors?

Thanks for all the birthday wishes & goodies…I'll be sharing more pictures this weekend.

Busy busy day….four more days until we leave for the Stampin' Up! Hawaii trip and I've got to a million things to do!

See ya tomorrow 🙂

p.s. here's a picture of the bags I buy to make the Top Note bag 🙂  I found them at Michaels.Paper Sacks

Cracked Glass Birthday Card:)

Halo fits birthday card Good morning!

Tomorrow is my birthday and I decided to make myself a card :)

I used the…..  If the Halo Fits stamp set and it's one that I love….but do not own. I borrowed it from my friend Lise last year and I stamped a couple extras.

The technique for this card is Cracked Glass and I filmed a video on it last year.  But…I made a mistake…you don't need a freezer after all :)  you can just wait and it will harden over time.  If you'd like to watch that video, click here.

I used the Tea Party Designer Paper and the "birthday wishes" is in the Garden Greetings stamp set.

**3-D Kit Club members…please place your online orders today if you haven't already done so…thanks!

Have a great day!

p.s. Thanks for all the comments on my Bloopers yesterday…that was a blast!!p.s.s. Counting down…..6 more days until we leave for the Stampin' Up! Hawaii trip :)

One more important note…..I'm going to be offering some specials while I'm in Hawaii. For my customers and people who join my team (sign up to be a demonstrator).  I'm going to post it early & it will stay on the top until I return. I'll continue to post until I leave but I'm going to leave my specials at the top.

Eight Great Greetings for Dad :)

Dad Good morning again….

Back to business stuff….My card today is for my daddy.  When I bought the Eight Great Greetings stamp set  (Occasions mini catalog) I bought it for many reasons. I loved the bunny…but I also loved this image.  It's perfect because you can use it for any occasion….birthday, fathers day, etc…

If you're looking for the Eight Great Greetings stamp set, it's one of the pre-order sets from the mini and you can order it now. If you need the item number let me know.

My card measures 11 x 3 and I scored it at 5 1/2.  I embossed the background with the Texture Plates #4 and I used the Chocolate Double Stitched Ribbon. I stamped the image a 2nd time and cut out the center "dad" piece and  I used a Stampin' Dimensional to pop it up. I also added a Dimensional to the back of the white. I totally love the 3-D look!!

Have a great day….see ya tomorrow.

p.s. Counting down…..we leave in one week for the Stampin' Up! Hawaii trip :)  oh my gosh…this time next week I'll be on the phone…oh dear!!!  (I forgot to mention ….my family and I are going a tad early….we figured since we've never been and not sure if we'll get a chance to go again …we need to make the most of it.)

Wagon Full of Fun

Wagon full of fun

Hi, I'm super excited…..my new stamps arrived today and although I was gone most of the day I just had to make a card really fast.  I love the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set and I had to order it right away.  My favorite stamps are animals and images that need to be colored.

Some of you are confused regarding the mini catalog and have ask me to mail you a copy.  It should be on it's way to you….very soon (if you've purchased Stampin' Up! product from me).  The Mini Catalog starts April 1st…but Stampin' Up! is letting everyone pre-order 4 of the sets early.  Wagon Full of Fun being one of them.

Have a good night! (I'll post again mid day Thursday.)

p.s. Make sure you check in next week….not only is it my birthday…but I'll be starting my count down to our Hawaii trip (compliments of Stampin' Up!)
