Beary Best Friends

Build a Bear Birthday 

My Build a Bear card today is my first attempt at sewing on a card 🙂  I've resisted using a sewing machine on my card mainly because I like to make quick & easy cards…..but I found out that just adding one stitch along the edge of the paper doesn't take a whole lot.   (Don't look to closely….remember it's my first attempt.)  Thanks Julie for encouraging me to give it a try!!!

My niece Cora has a birthday in March and this is the card I made for her…I can't wait to here how much she likes it!! (I'll show you the simple version later this week.)

I used the Beary Best Friends stamp set with the Whimsical Words (free set in the Sale-a-bration catalog).  After I stamped the greeting I punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and added it to the Scallop Circle from the Pennant Die.

St Patricks Day Card

My card today is something that came to me today when I was drinking my coffee.  We're headed to Tennessee for Spring Break and I'll get to be with my family for St. Patricks Day.  That means I need to make some goodies for my family!!   I was going for making a box to hold some candy treats but it hit me that I should start with a card first.

I started out using the Full Heart punch to make my Shamrock & then it hit me….if upside down hearts is what makes a shamrock…..the leafs in the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt looks like hearts to me.  Don't you agree?   I'm not sure about the stem….this one was made with the Two Step Bird punch.  But if you don't have it…. you can use the Wide Oval Punch.  All you do is punch a large oval and then slide the punch over and punch a sliver …does that make sense?

Happy Moments Cards

Happy Moments thank you

A quick post today….. yesterday was crazy busy and since I took most of the weekend off I'm terribly behind on everything!!   It's totally stressing me out and if you've emailed me or called I promise I'm going to make every effort to get caught up today & tomorrow.  (nothing on my calendar for either day…other than getting caught up.)

Happy Moments birthday

My cards today are one layer cards & so easy to make …… I love them!!  I'm not sure why I love white simple cards the best….but I do!  I used the Happy Moments stamp set #119125 from the Sale-a-bration Catalog & stamp the images with Black Stazon ink.  I colored the images with my aqua painter.   They measure 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the bottom.

I'm in the process of making these cards for my team members….I've cut all the cardstock and all I need to do it get them stamped, colored & mailed 🙂

Bird Friendly :)

Both cards I'm sharing with you today are not my creations…..but I love them!! Linda & Toni made these cards for Leadership and I feel very lucky that they gave me one 🙂

The first one is Linda's and she used the Cheep Talk stamp set on page 113. It's been a while since I used that set and after receiving her card it made me what to grab it off my shelf!

She used two of the new punches.  The Scallop Trim Corner on page 5 of the Occasions Mini Catalog & the Scallop Trim Border on page 9 of the Sale-a-bration Catalog. The beautiful paper is from the Sweet Pea Designer.

Tonis card

Toni's card also uses two of the new punches…..the Two-Step Bird punch & the Scallop Trim Border.  I love how she glittered the bird…I never would have thought of that.  She also used the Sending Love Specialty Paper.

Stamp a Stack card

My next Stamp a Stack card is one of my favorites & it's not my creation 🙂
One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is we get to swap cards with each other ……..either at team meetings, convention, leadership or regional meetings.

 I was lucky enough to receive this super cute card from Corinne &  I loved it so much I sent her an email and ask her if I could use it for my Stamp a Stack.  She's such a sweetheart & she said yes (thanks Roxy!!).

The two stamp sets are Fox & Friends & Well Scripted, both are found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.   She also used the Sweet Pea Designer Paper & the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.

Stamp a Stack Card?

My card today is one I'm considering for my Stamp a Stack.  (Once I have all of the cards decided I'll post the dates and details.)

I used the Messages for Moms stamp set with Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink & Barely Banana.  I love all the sentiments included in that stamp set! 

 Can you see the Faux brad in the center?  All I did was punch a 1/4 circle out of white card stock, attach it to the center of my flower and then add Crystal Effects (I may change the color) I haven't done that in forever!!

Sweetheart Stamp Set

My card today is a little rough around the edges…don't look too closely. Do you ever have days that no matter what you do…. you can't get it right?  I decided to take my own advice and move on 🙂

I used the Sweetheart stamp set with the Heart Treat Cups & the colors I used were Old Olive & Melon Mambo.
I stamped the greeting & then punched it out with the Full Heart Punch, then I layered it on a heart I punched with the Movers & Shapers Punch Windows.  This time I used the adhesive on the back of the Heart Treat Cup 🙂

The edge of the Old Olive cardstock was made with the New Pinking Hearts Border Punch that can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I've had a few questions asked about Vintage Labels card kit so here's the scoop…….The cards are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I use medium white envelopes for that size (don't you agree..once they take out the card….they won't notice the envelope was a tad big?). The instructions are sent electronically through email.  Here's a picture of the packaging.

Vintage Labels Card Kit

I've had lots of requests for my Card Kits and I'm happy to say they're back :)  I've listened to your requests for quick & simple cards and hope that you liked what I've created with the Vintage Labels Stamp set!!   Tune in later this week for a more advanced kit that includes cards and 3D Projects.

Here's the details for my Vintage Label Card Kit.

  • Your kit will contain all the supplies you need to complete 10 cards, three of each design plus an extra.  (Stamped images & adhesive are not included.)
  • Whisper White Envelopes for all 10 cards.
  • Supply List & Instructions are provided in PDF file.
  • 5 Sheets of Whisper White Cardstock

  • 45" Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon
  •  All the pieces needed to complete 10 cards.
  • The cost is $10 per kit, you can order as many as you'd like.

    The "Happy Birthday" was punched out with the Curly Label Punch and the Melon Mambo was made with the Curly Label Movers & Shapers.

    The Bonus card uses the Basic Gray Satin Ribbon & Cardstock.

    I {heart} Hearts stamp set

    I had a different post for today but I've decided to show you two projects that made me order the I {heart} Hearts stamp set when I returned from Leadership.   (excuse the pictures …they were taken from the display board & the screen). 

    Hearts card

    I love this card and when she demonstrated it on stage she showed us all sorts of techniques.  For example the Olive heart was Rock N Rolled, the yellow heart is the kissing technique and the blue heart was crumbled up & sponged (can't remember the red one …maybe it was embossed).

    Product I see used on this card is.  I {heart} Hearts stamp set, Well Scripted Stamp set, Solid Stripes stamp, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Small Heart Punch, Button Latte, Soft Suede Cardstock & Ink.
