St Patricks Day Card

Go green

My card today is something that came to me today when I was drinking my coffee.  We're headed to Tennessee for Spring Break and I'll get to be with my family for St. Patricks Day.  That means I need to make some goodies for my family!!   I was going for making a box to hold some candy treats but it hit me that I should start with a card first.

I started out using the Full Heart punch to make my Shamrock & then it hit me….if upside down hearts is what makes a shamrock…..the leafs in the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt looks like hearts to me.  Don't you agree?   I'm not sure about the stem….this one was made with the Two Step Bird punch.  But if you don't have it…. you can use the Wide Oval Punch.  All you do is punch a large oval and then slide the punch over and punch a sliver …does that make sense?

  1. Hi Angie. Very cute … love the look of the felt shamrock! I make shamrocks in a several different sizes by using my primitive heart punches/dies rather than the traditional, full heart. I think the prim heart, because the tops are not perfect and have somewhat the look of the felt as above, gives them “funk” or personality! Thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts!
