12 Weeks of Halloween 2015 Week 5

12-Weeks-of-Halloween-5b

The Spooky Berry Basket is the 5th project for the 12 Weeks of Halloween.

To make this box I used a 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 sheet of Basic Black card stock … with the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper  … they measure 2-1/4 x 1-3/4 and you need four of them.

The image is from the Among the Branches Stamp Set and I stamped it with the brand new Basic Black Ink featured in the Holiday Catalog.

I used the Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine to tie the sides together.

  3. Angie–good “threaders” for baker’s twine etc are the blue or green plastic dental flossers that you can get at Wal-Mart. I use them for my stamping projects as well as to thread my serger. Hope this helps…..Patty

  9. What a darling little basket – love it! Great way to use up small scraps of DSP also since you don’t need a lot to cover the sides. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  12. I never got to tell you how much I enjoyed your Halloween Berry Box/Basket!!! You kept me company yesterday while waiting for my hubby to have a Cardio Procedure in the hospital and I was scared and all alone 🙁 But you did a wonderful job of keeping my mind busy while the clock went by so very slow!!!!! Thank you Angie 🙂

  13. Very cute & so easy. Have you tried threading a darning needle and than putting the thread thru the basket corners? If you were making a bunch of them it may be faster. Just a thought.

  15. What a cute little box. Can’t wait to make one to add to the Halloween Countdown collection. Too bad the wood grain embossing folder isn’t bigger, that would certainly add some texture to the “basket”. Thanks for another clever treat container.
