Scallop Ornament

Holiday Scallop Ornaments  Good evening!

This week I'm showing you projects I made with the Country Living Holiday Collection Kit

For the next 6 days, every project will feature one or more items that can be found in the kit.

This project is one I've made before…. but I couldn't resist using this designer paper….and…. I re-filmed the video.  Did you ever see my original video….if I talked any slower…. seriously… it was my 2nd video….what did you expect??  You gotta laugh with me!

Many Merry Messages

Sally's swap  Good morning!!

Today I'm sharing with you another card that we made at the Shoebox swap.  This was Sally's card and it's is another real keeper…don't you love it?

The "Merry Christmas" came from the Many Merry Messages stamp set and we stamped it with Versa Mark and then embossed it with White Embossing powder.

Starting tomorrow I'll be on Thanksgiving break and I'll have little or no access to my blog or email.  I have a whole week of post lined up to showcase the Country Living Holiday Collection kit….starting tomorrow and I think you'll be pleased!!

Winter Post Snow Globe

Jenns swap  Isn't this card amazing?  You can imagine my excitement when I saw the card that Jennifer brought to the shoebox swap.

I'm also doing the happy dance because I already own the stamp sets to make a few more of these.  We used the Winter Post stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog, the Paisley Background & the Define your Life stamp set.

The card base measures 5 1/2 x 3 3/4….and make sure when you add the snow globe that it doesn't go past 4 1/4….that way you can put it in a regular envelope.

All the projects we made last night were awesome and I'm so happy that I have projects to post while I'm enjoying our Thanksgiving holiday in Tennessee.

Have a great day!

Stamps:  Winter Post, Lovely as a Tree, Define your Life, *Many Merry Messages & Paisley Background

Cardstock:  Kraft, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Bravo Burgundy & Naturals Ivory

Other:  Glassy Glaze Enamel, Chunky Glitter, Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon, Sponges, Blender Pens or Aqua Painter, Filigree Designer Brads & Stampin' Dimensionals

*Many Merry Messages stamp set was used for the inside greeting.

Season of Joy

Season of Joy   Good morning!!

I broke out my Season of Joy stamp set yesterday and made this card really fast.  Last year this set was one of my favorites and I've neglected it this year.  The "Merry Christmas" is from the Holidays & Wishes stamp set (I like it better).

The Riding Hood Red cardstock is 11 x 3 1/2 scored at 5 1/2.  The Kraft cardstock is 2 1/8 x 3 3/4 & the vanilla cardstock measures 1 7/8 x 2 3/4.  I used Timber Brown Stazon for the greeting & the tree and I sponged the edges with Close to Cocoa.

Have a great Saturday….see ya tomorrow!

p.s. I saw Twilight again yesterday….that makes 2 times in less than 24 hours. I may have to see it again and again :)  I'll try to not give alot of details here…..but….here's the thing…if you read the books…nothing I can say will affect you.  Our local paper today had negative things to say about the baseball scene….personally I loved it!!   If you haven't read the books just maybe the scene was confusing….and for those of you that have seen it…did you recognize Stephenie Meyer in the movie?

p.s. thanks for all the kind emails and comments about my new photo……I've been growing my bangs out for over a year….. and I wear my hair up 80% of the time (decisions…if I pull my hair up …that gives me more stamping time….which one do you think wins?  :))

Merry & Bright Treat

  Merry & Bright Treat

Hi!

Quick post today…I'm behind on my to do list and I need to get busy.

This little treat holder will hold a small bag of candy or you could use a small cello bag to hold whatever you'd like :) I love the Merry & Bright stamp set and I used it with one of my favorite color combos….Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery

Have a great day!!

p.s. I loved the movie Twilight….I was all prepared to not like it…and I was afraid it wouldn't stay true to the book……but…. the actors were fabulous.  Before I saw the movie Edward wasn't what I imagined he would look like…but I'm happy to report I've changed my mind.  I imagine I'll see this movie at least 3 or 4 times while it's at the theater….I hope they get busy filming the other three asap!!

Big on Christmas

Good morning!! Big on Christmas

I decided to break out my Big on Christmas stamp set this past weekend and I'm sure glad I did!!

Make sure you watch for my 12 weeks of Christmas this week….the project I have lined up uses this set and I think you'll be pleased!

Today is going to be crazy busy….I have a Stamp a Stack this morning and another tonight and then I'm headed to the Midnight showing of Twilight:)  I love going to movies on opening day or night and I'm soooooo excited.

Can you see a difference on my blog?  I see that Typepad has my blog on the new platform….not sure what exactly that means :O

Have a great day…see ya tomorrow!

p.s. tomorrows post may be late…..not sure….I may wake up feeling creative…or I may sleep in…. I won't get home until 2:30am :O

Monogram Cards

Kims_monogram Good morning!!

This weekend when I was creating the bags you saw over the past two days…I also discovered that you could cover up the word "enjoy" with a letter and make some Monogram cards 🙂

I used the Lovely Letters Alphabet and the word "enjoy" (that’s underneath the K) is from the Holiday Collection stamp set.

I get to see my family for Thanksgiving & I’m determined to take some cards to pass out.  These cards are for Kim….and I’ll show you more….soon!

Have a great day!!

p.s. these cards are a odd size. I messed up some cardstock when I was cutting for my Stamp a Stack & I decided to make some cute little cards.  They measure 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 (opened card measures 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 and score at 4 1/4).  See ya 🙂

More Country Living Holiday Collection

Peace_holiday_collection Good morning!

I know I said that next week I would be showing the Country Living Holiday Collection projects….but since this was one of my 12 weeks of Christmas Projects I wanted to get it posted on my blog too.

If you’re looking at the Snowflake and trying to figure it out….Yes, it’s from the Holiday Collection stamp set….and ….. it works perfect with the Scallop Circle Punch!!  I used the Top Note Big Shot Die to cover the bag.  I used a Rhinestone Brad and took it apart to get myself a gem (do you know what I mean?) and attached it with a glue dot.  "Peace" is from the "Join in the Cheer", also a Big Shot Die and attached it with the Tombow Liquid Glue….love that stuff….it’s perfect for those small pieces!!!

As for the craft sacks….I always get them at Michaels.  Wal-mart carried them a few years ago but it’s been a while since I’ve seen them there.  The company name on the bag is Paper Reflections & the bag size is 3 1/2 x 2 x 6 3/4.

Thanks & see ya tomorrow!Bashful_blue_holiday_collection
