Sunday/Monday Post

Angie_002 Hello Stampers!!!

I’m making some Halloween cards for a special swap and this was my Warm up card….the real one is sooooo cute and can’t wait to show ya…but I gotta wait until all the ladies get theirs first.

Speaking of warm up cards, do you do that?  Do you experiment with a stamp set first and then go from there?  I always say..if you’re in a slump or whatever you call it, make a card, whether you case it or not and that will get the creative juices flowing. (I have to admit some days nothing works.)

Stamps:  Haunting Halloween & Sanded Background  Ink:  Black Stazon, So Saffron & More Mustard   Cardstock:  Basic Black, More Mustard, Creepy Crawly Designer Paper  Tools & Accessories:  Circle Cutter, Key Tag Punch, Pencils & Sponges

The next picture is what I’ve been working on this weekend.  I decided that this year….2007, I will get organized!!!  The year has not been a good one for me and I decided that getting my room in order is just what I need.  I’m starting small and so far I’ve cleaned off my bookshelves.  Getting this NON Stampin’ Up! ribbon organized was driving me crazy…yes, I could have used our ribbon holders but I have hundreds of rolls and really don’t have room for all the holders…so the solution was found on someone else’s blog…wish I could remember who…but sorry, I can’t….I bought a large piece of foam board and cut it so I have 10 pieces that measure 6 x 10 (I think that’s right).  Now all my Non SU Ribbon is sorted by colors, for example I have two pieces of foam with greens.  Check it out!!Angie_006_2 Angie_007_2 I will start a Photo album (to the right) to store all the photos I’m gonna take of my organizing, so that maybe I can help someone too!!

And, last but not least….here’s what I was talking about the other day….I use to be a huge Mary Engelbreit fan…until they changed the cover of the magazines. Here’s the pictures to show you the difference.Mary_e_mag Mary_e_new

Have a great day!!

  1. This card is fantastic. This is so funny, I am in a Halloween swamp and also did a warm up card today. What a great way to organize your ribbons, I have mine in jars, but like this idea better.

  4. I just love this card. Think I’m going to have to buy that stamp set. If this is just a warmup, I’m anxious to see the final card.
