Hi, today’s video demonstrates how to make this Password Book…aka Address Book, Recipe Book…etc.
You can find Rectangle coasters on my Chic’n Scratch blog, click here to go there.
I’m happy to report that my video is loaded and ready to go.
If you’d like to learn how to make the Password Book click here to head over to my Stampin’ Academy for a video tutorial.
I used Medium Weight Rectangle Coasters and you can find them on my Chic’ n Scratch Shack and they measure 3 7/8 x 5 3/8.
For Savanna’s book I used the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet with the Pacific Point Ink. I also used the Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon & the Stampin’ Up! scallop circle punch.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Stamps: Schoolbook Serif Alphabet
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Good morning Sunshine, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White
Other: Scallop Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Chic Stand, Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Rectangle Coasters Medium Weight, Bind It all & 3/4″ owires.
P.S. Count down to Hawaii starts today…we leave March 16th….9 more days 🙂 (we have a house/dog sitter staying here so I’m comfortable saying this.)
My project started out as a Password Book but then….it changed to a Recipe Book. My niece Cora will be 10 years old & I was on the phone with my sister and she was telling me how Cora has been watching her cook and writing down her recipes…so I stopped in my tracks and switched gears.
This Recipe Book has lots of details…I’ll try to explain them quickly. The cover and backside is made with the Medium Weight Rectangle Coasters & I covered them with the Delicate Dots Designer Paper. Cora’s name was a Light Weight Coaster that I cut into 4 pieces and then punched out with my Big Shot & an alphabet die (I popped them up with Dimensionals).
Do you recognized the alphabet? Oh my gosh….I’ve had it forever…it’s the Fun Serif Alphabet and I remember when they came out (many years ago) every week I drove as fast as I could to use my one coupon so I could get a new letter that week. It took me a while but I managed to get 3 whole alphabets. If you have those dies….hang onto them…they work great in the Big Shot. I was able to run all four letters through at one time…..quick & easy …I love it!!
Did you know I’m the person that came up with using the Rectangle Coasters? (I placed that first custom order and took a chance hoping they would sell). The main reason I ordered them was to make Password Books…but then after getting them I had other ideas….and I forgot to revisit my original idea. Some days I scare myself….a year later I’m just now getting around to it 🙂
I’ll film a video in the next few days. If you’re wanting to know which coasters to order. I used the Medium Weight Rectangle and the 4″ Light Weight. Click here to visit my Chic’ n Scratch Shack where I have the coasters available.
Have a great day!!
p.s Don’t forget to check out the Easter stamp sets that are available starting today…I’ll post more details on this as soon as they’re available to me. (Four new sets, in the new Mini Catalog, available starting today….the rest of the catalog starts April 1st.)
p.s.s. Double posting today….I’ll post the winner for the February Free stamp set and post the picture of the March free stamp set.
