Today’s I’m sharing my Washi Tape Halloween Card that I gave you a sneak peek of ….back on July 11th. (Click here to view it.)
I designed it for Convention swaps … but at the time I didn’t have enough Linen Thread … so I put it aside for another occasion.
That happened to be a Shoebox Swap over the weekend. Every one that came made this card and in my video I share how to package the Washi Tape for 15 people. (Downline girls .. this is our Tuesday Tip that I’ll be referring to.)
Let’s chat about the card ….
I placed the Washi Tape on the Very Vanilla card stock … starting in the middle. Next I wrapped the Linen Thread around it three times and made a little bow.
I used the Halloween Bash Stamp Set with the Witches Brew Washi Tape and after I stamped the images with Black Stazon ink and Tangerine Tango ink ….. I cut them out with the Decorative Label Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and Large Oval Punch.
Here’s the video on how to make the Washi Tape Halloween Card …
If you’re viewing this in your email it’s possible that the video link has removed and you will need to watch it on my blog. (Not by my choice ….. Feedburner is no longer being supported.)

p.s. If you’re on my Chic n Scratch Facebook page … you saw on Friday I had my eyes dilated. I’m okay … sorry I worried some of you! I do need another surgery but we can’t do it until my eyes are stable. If and when I get past the dry eye stage … I’ll let you know (I’ll take all the prayers I can get during another surgery).
Hi Angie,
This is a nice card.
Hope you have a safe surgery and that your eyes heal well and quickly.
Cute, easy card for Halloween, LOVE IT! Wish I could have been at your Shoebox Swap.
What a fun Halloween card!! Love the washi tape and CAS design!!
Thanks for the great idea Angie. I did a case of it making it a Christmas card. You can find it here if you care to see it. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for sharing the Washi tape on Waxed paper. I will be using this often. I am a one handed stamper and handling washi tape has been a real challenge for me. With this method, my daughters, friends, etc. can put manageable pieces on waxed paper for me to peel off.
Joni, your comment just made my day! I’m so happy to hear that you will be able to use Washi Tape in the future!!
Love the card….Love the washi tape. What would you do on the inside?
Cindy, I would stamp or write Happy Halloween (and if I were sending it to one of my nieces and nephews I’d write a little note to them).
Really cute idea! Thanks for the tips, too.
Cute as can be!
Very cute and inventive idea using the Washi tape. I had not even considered buying it until I saw your sample card and video. Now I am really reconsidering buying some. Thanks for the idea.
I really like this card. It’s simple and like the washi tape how you can adjust the length even after you stick it on the card.
Like the idea that you can fix it after it is done. good tip.
