Remember on Monday when I said I had several cards to show you .. my rejects for Stamp Kit of the Month? Well, I’m questioning myself .. why didn’t I choose yesterdays card .. or today’s card? I look at both of them now and I like them…. a lot!! I guess you can chalk it up to not feeling a 100%.
I’m feeling much better ….. thanks for all the well wishes!! But I’m still not myself .. I told my doctor yesterday it could be this yucky weather we’re having. She ordered some blood work anyway .. just to check and make sure nothing is up.
Now let’s talk about the card ..
On Monday I shared with you the simple Paper Doilies card .. and one of the things that drove me crazy was that it was very muted … so …. after playing with it for a couple hours I found a solution. Just punch a 2-1/2 Whisper White circle and add it behind the Doilie. You could always stamp on the white card stock and place it on top of the Doilie ….. but I like the muted look of stamping directly on the Paper Doilies.
I used Lucky Limeaid card stock and I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and I sponged the edges of all the layers to give it a distressed look.
I used a post it note to cover up the “oh” and I inked up “Hello” with the Lucky Limeaid ink pad and then stamped it on the piece I cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits.

Another gorgeous card, glad you are feeling a little better, hopefully, you will be back to yourself soon.
Sometimes when I make a card and I am not crazy about it. I walk away and come back later or even the next day and I usually like it. I like all of your cards.
We are always more critcal of our own work.
This card and yesterday’s card are stunning. It’s nice to hear others make cards that they don’t feel 100% about. Sometime it makes me so frustrated! It’s true – we are more critcal of ourselves! Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s reject!!
This is bright and beautiful…as is the pink version!
