I just had to share this …hopefully I’ll feel up to stamping tomorrow!!
I was sitting in front of my computer having a pity party. I’m soooo tired I can’t even walk upstairs. I’ve been on my thyroid medicine for a week … (as of today). I know it’s going to take time …… but we all know I’m not the most patient person.
The reason I’m sharing this is ….the past few days I’ve tried to figure out …. “why did I feel good last Wednesday and Thursday and where did that energy go?” So…. I’m sitting here at my computer just listening to stuff (training video and apple iphone 4s release …..yes …..at the same time) and I heard a new email come across my computer ….I did a quick glance and this is what caught my eye.
Peggy, thank you so much for sending this to me!!! I’m going to do some research and try to find out what I could be doing wrong. I sure wish I knew what I ate on Wed and Thurs….starting today I’m keeping track of everything I do ….and eat/drink.
Sorry I’m not sharing a cute project today …. I have some I made last week …..but I don’t have the energy to do all the steps to get it posted. (maybe tomorrow!!)
Thanks!!

I know what you mean because I suffer from a Thyroid condition too. It’s weird how some days you feel great and some days you can barely stay awake. I don’t think people really understand how hard it is to keep going because the fatigue just drains everything from you! So, please know that some of us understand and are there with you! I wish I knew the secret of how to fix it, I’d tell you. I’m hoping you figure it out and let the rest of us know! Take care and hang in there!
Quite seriously…I’d love a link to that info. Even though I haven’t had my thyroid removed I am on medication and am still tired all the time. Would you send me the link please?
You just take care of yourself Angie. I keep checking your site to check in on how you’re doing- not you’re cute projects (which we all know you are the best at cute projects). Projects can wait, you are more important!
Angie, I have been on thyroid medicine since I was 16. I am now 74, Thyroid medicine is a build up drug that takes at least ten days to fulfill it potential. Don’t give up, and don’t forget to take it. It will regulate itself soon. take care. my dermotologist did not cover my thyroid while giving me xray treatments and ended up killing the thyroid. But am well and healthy and living to an over ripe age.
Angie, just take care of yourself. Your cute projects will be even more appreciated when you feel better.
Angie, have they ever mentioned Fibromalgia to you? I have been on thyroid meds for 15 years and suffering from exhaustion. I was diagnosed with Fibro about 30 years ago. I feel extremely ill if I just have a class at my home! I have fun while doing them but the minute I sit down afterwards, I ache for hours, so much that I could cry. I can’t even go out to dinner afterwards. This last weekend I felt ill for over 30 hours even after my class. When I worked a part time job on my feet for 3 hours, I was unable to do that. My thyroid level is fine but it is the Fibro that gets me so fatigued or at least they say. I hope you feel better. My mind is always active and full of ideas but my body is too exhausted to work on them! Best of luck and feel better soon! Barb
Dont worry Angie, the most important is your health, take care.
Angie, I now exactly how you feel as I have suffered from thyroid disease also. I was diagnosed as hyperthyroid and lost weight always was on the go go go. Although this then made me feel like I would never stop even after going to bed. I then had an ablation done and yea felt veryyy tired and now I’m hypo.. Was started on medication I take Synthroid brand only and the days that I forget to take Im dragging. Remember to keep the same brand each time also as this can make a difference .Hang in there it does take time to build and become stable on a dose. I have been on the same dose for about 5 years. Be patient and listen to your body when it wants to rest, rest.
Thanks Donna!!
I am hypo too. Some days after work all I do is lay around and sleep! Then other days I’m good to go. It gets really irritating and my family doesn’t understand! I would love that link too! I was diagnosed in May and I felt really good at first but now I’m feeling tired all the time again. I am 32 and wished I didnt have to deal with this! Thank you for sharing your story!!
