Beary Best Friends

Build a Bear Birthday

My Build a Bear card today is my first attempt at sewing on a card 🙂  I've resisted using a sewing machine on my card mainly because I like to make quick & easy cards…..but I found out that just adding one stitch along the edge of the paper doesn't take a whole lot.   (Don't look to closely….remember it's my first attempt.)  Thanks Julie for encouraging me to give it a try!!!

My niece Cora has a birthday in March and this is the card I made for her…I can't wait to here how much she likes it!! (I'll show you the simple version later this week.)

I used the Beary Best Friends stamp set with the Whimsical Words (free set in the Sale-a-bration catalog).  After I stamped the greeting I punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and added it to the Scallop Circle from the Pennant Die.

p.s. Fluffy is still in the hospital and I'll post more details on my Angie Everyday blog …..as soon as possible. I'm not feeling very well today and I'm going to try to take a quick nap.

  1. Oh, poor Fluffy…I know how worrisome that can be. I hope you feel better after a nap. This card is so cute…I just used that sentiment stamp on the card I made today! I have sewn on scrapbook pages, but not a card. It’s very nice.

  2. Hmm, Angie, I’m surprised to read this is your first sewn card project! You do EVERYTHING! LOL! Now that you know it’s super easy and fast, perhaps we’ll see it more in the future?
Was just at Caroline’s Stampin’Palooza in Toronto and saw amazing projects done with the Big Shot and material…I just may break down and buy your rag bag tutorial!

  4. Your sewing looks great!!! I think you will find it as addictive as I do. I believe that I’ve also heard that sewing on paper will dull your machine needle. I’ll have to label my needles “Fabric” and “paper” just to be safe. Your card is absolutely adorable!!
