Jumbled Alphabet

Jumbled-alphabet-card

Hi!

I'm working on end of the year teachers gifts and I decided to use the Rockabilly Designer Paper to make some monogram cards.  I also used the Jumbled Alphabet Stamp set that's on sale this month. But, I'm not totally sold on this card….something is off.  Does that happen to you? You take a day off from working and you lose something?  You may see the card again…..I used the Dotto Removable adhesive so I can move it around.

Sorry I was gone for a couple days.  I needed to take a break and spend some time with the family.  Over the weekend we went to Oklahoma Joes ….a BBQ place here in Kansas area and we went to see X Men.  I also got caught up on laundry & that feels great!!  I started cutting for my Card Class and I'm thrilled to be ahead instead of behind. And last but note least I read an entire book…..I finished the "Mortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare.

If you've won a prize during my Contest last week I've sent you an email.  Congrats to Peggy S. the winner of the 3 cards for my May Class.  Congrats to Rhonda W. the winner for the Crop a dile Post it Notes and Congrats to Kelly D.  the winner fo the Bind it all Post it notes.  Thanks for all your kind words!

Thanks for stopping by….see ya tomorrow!

  1. LOVE the card! maybe a piece of red ribbon…or pink, or blue, or yellow, or green…….where the paper meets the card for a pop of color.

  2. How about some white taffeta ribbon between the DSP and the Whisper White? When in doubt, I always use ribbon to add some texture and pop! 🙂 Thanks for sharing…I’m off to make some of these as well…

  4. I LOVE black and white cards!!! Maybe a bit of black sponging on the scalloped circle to make it show up against the white. Cute!!!!

  5. Well….I thought I was going to be original. However, everyone else has beat me to the punchline. I definitely think that a black and white stripe ribbon on the top portion of the card would set it off perfectly! Thanks for my winning gift. P.S. the boys ordered me a bind it all! YEAH>>>>>

  6. How about a red ribbon or a red scallop circle punch instead?
I need to work on my son’s teacher gifts too. I just may purchase a Bind It All and make those wonderful PIN pads. So glad you’re back to feeling normal. 🙂 Don’t forget to sign up for the SCS swaps.

  8. I love the card; all of the ideas sound interesting. I’m still wondering if you can do a two initial monogram? I’d love to see your take on one. THANKS Mary Jo

  9. Hmm I agree that something is missing. I like the idea of red ribbon! Or I thought making the scallop black instead or even add small black dots in each scallop with a marker? That would be unique and go with the paper! But it’s a great card anyways!

p.s. I made the brag books that you have a video from last year for myself and a craft sale, and they were a huge hit! Even with a girl having a table of just brag books (but hers opened like an accordion!) Thanks for all the great video’s I live in Canada and enjoy them!
