2009 Spring & Summer Idea Book & Catalog

Hi,  I'm super excited about the new catalog and decided to stay up late so I could show you some fun projects.  But, before I show the pictures, please make sure you read the post below.  It has all the details on ordering from the new catalog (on line orders are unavailable from now until noon on Monday, Mountain Time….my Stampin' Up! website will also be down until noon).

The first picture is of the Good Friend Stationery Box we made at Leadership….I love those birds… both the stamp set and the Chipboard!!  It's the Good Friend stamp set and the Chipboard is So Tweet. (cute name too!)

Good Friend Stationery Box

Next is the card that we made to go in the box…..again I totally love it…but maybe it's just me & birds 🙂  Wait until you see the owl 🙂

Good Friend Card

I'll be honest, I've not had the best relationship with the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  But… it works great with this stamp set.  If you're like me….I've had a hard time remembering how to use it.  But, this stamp set is perfect for the Stamp-a-ma-jig and now that I've got it….I won't be forgetting how to use it!!

I'm so excited I need to do a video….but I need to come up with my own card first.

Moving right along….after I assembled my Good Friend Stationery BoxI decided to tweak the measurements and find a way to make the box using one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock.  I made one using solid cardstock and one using Designer paper (I'll show you the designer paper one later this week).  I also made it a little thicker so I could add some candy 🙂

Owl Stationery Box   Sorry, my picture doesn't do it justice…by the time I was finished it was dark outside & I need to take another picture to show you the side view…I'll do that later today.

And, I forgot to show you the candy inside. I usedmy favorite "Ferrero Rocher".  This will make you laugh….that's my favorite chocolate candy…but I'm clueless on how to say the name :)))

I'm working on the video and will post it tomorrow (Tuesday)…..if all goes well. I have to take Chase to the doctor and have some tests run….he has an ankle that keeps hurting him, we thought it was growing pains (the doctor agreed) but now it's getting worse and waking him up at night.  I'm a little freaked out!!

Thanks for stopping by….have a great day!!

P.S.  I loaded 116 photos in the Leadership Display Boards photo album…you can find it on the right side of this blog….enjoy!!

  1. I DID laugh! You are too cute…I believe (with some French background in me), it’s pronounced “fair-rare-ro rosh-A (long ‘a’ sound)…

  4. Hi Angie,
Thanks so much for sharing these pictures! I’ve got my timer set for noon, so I can log on and order the Good Friends Set–it is SO stinkin’ cute! I can’t wait to see the video you make, I’ve been wondering how to make a box like this. You’re not the only one who loves those chocolates and has no idea how to pronounce them! 🙂

  5. Can’t wait for the videos on how to recreate your wonderful projects and cards. Also, I (and I’m sure all your fans) would love to see how you apply paper or stamp chipboard. I love chipboard and ordered the Country Living Christmas set to experiment with chipboard, but would love to see a professional do it first. I’m still too nervous. Truly hope your son is OK. Your blog is the highlight of my mornings. Thanks for being so faithful!

  7. I love your blog! and your projects are always inspiring. As for Chase….I highly recommend seeing a PEDIATRIC orthopedist. Or whatever specialist they recommend on a PEDIATRIC level….PEDIATRIC physicians really seem to listen to what you child has to say and understand that they wouldn’t be there, unless something needed to be taken care of. Good luck, and I will pray for you both.

  8. The boxes are cute and quite useful. I hope all went well with Chase’s appt. We are headed to surgery on Friday with our 12-yr-old to repair his shoulder from a football injury. After 10 weeks of therapy we have resigned ourselves to the fact it has to be done. That is something I don’t wish on any parents so I pray Chase’s ankle is something that will recover with time and/or some therapy.
