Blessing Mix Box

Good morning!

I’m super excited to show you today’s project!!  Every year I make a Blessing Mix to put on our table Thanksgiving Day. Each person gets their own box and I’ll never forget the first year I made them (I was shocked when they were opened & eaten….I always save mine).

I’m going to film the video either this evening or tomorrow and when I post it I’ll supply you with not only the Printer Friendly version but I’ll also include the Poem.

When the Sweet Treat cups arrived at my house I knew immediately that I was going to be re-using the boxes.   I swear they were made with our Glossy Cardstock (but I could be wrong).  My project today is what I whipped up real fast ….using the leftover boxes 🙂

I used the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog and wrapped the White Organza Ribbon around  it.

If you'd like to make one you'll need 4 pieces of Designer Paper that measure 3 3/8 x 2 1/8 and two pieces that measure  2 1/8 x 2 1/8.

Supply List:

  • Sweet Treat Cups (Box) #116802
  • White Organza Ribbon #114319
  • Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper  (Holiday Mini Catalog) #116770

Halloween Baskets

Good afternoon!

I had an idea last night…..I was standing in my craft room thinking…."what can I make with an existing die cut?" & "how can I change it up?".

Halloween Baskets

This box is the result….cute isn't it?   I took the Baskets & Blooms Big Shot die and left out the bottom piece, removed the side pieces, scored it on each side and the bottom and assembled the pieces.

I used the Pumpkin Patch stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog on the pumpkin basket.  I used the Grateful Greetings stamp set (also found in the Holiday Mini Catalog) on the black basket.  The frog can be found in the Halloween Hoot stamp set and I used it on the Old Olive basket.

These baskets will hold a Ghirardelli Chocolate or several pieces of candy.  I'll try to get the video made in a few days.

Hershey Bars

Good afternoon!

My project today is one I make every year…It's a mini Hershey bar covered with Designer paper.  I used the Twick or Tweet stamp set along with the From the Crypt stamp set.

Hershey Bars

There's two designer papers in this picture. The Night & Day Specialty Paper is in the Holiday Mini Catalog and I couldn't resist using it for a Halloween project.  The other paper is the Cast a Spell.  I cut the designer paper at 3 1/2 x 3 and you can use the Crimper on the ends if you'd like (I used it on two of the three).

Every year I make a bunch of Kit & Kat & Hershey bars and I pass them out to friends, family and sometimes I make a few from my sister to sell in Tennessee.  She's coming for a visit next month and I hope to have several made for her to take back.

Here's the supply list:

  • Twick or Tweet stamp set #116497
  • From the Crypt stamp set #115460
  • Cast a Spell Designer Paper #115677
  • Night & Day Specialty Paper #116768
  • Crimper #101618
  • Watercolor Pencils #101879
  • Blender Pen #102845
  • Sponges #101610
  • 1 3/8 Circle Punch #104401

More Little Boxes

Here's a few more of my Little Boxes……

My first picture is using Bashful Blue Cardstock with the new Simple Snowflake stamp (can be found on the "Under $10" page).

Snowflake Box

I stamped the Simple Snowflake with Bashful Blue ink onto the Whisper White cardstock and then I punched it out with the Jumbo Snowflake Punch.  Next I put the snowflake on my Chic Stand to punch a hole with my paper piercer and then I added the Clear Rhinestone Brad.  I attached the snowflake using a Stampin' Dimensional.

The snowflakes on the box were stamped with White Craft ink & I used the Snow Buddies stamp set for the little snowflakes (Snow Buddies stamp set is a hostess set in the Holiday Mini Catalog).  I sponged the edges with the white ink.

My next picture is of all three of the Little Halloween Boxes using the Twick or Tweek stamp set with the Cast a Spell Designer Paper.

Little Halloween Box

Twick or Tweet bite

Hi,  this is the same box as yesterday and you can click here if you’d like to watch the video on how to make it.  The video includes how to assemble the box decorated with the Frankenstein face…but to make it this way all you do is add some Cast a Spell Designer paper and some ribbon for a handle.

Tomorrow I’ll show you the picture of all three of the boxes that I made with the Twick or Tweet Stamp set & Cast a Spell Designer paper.  Don’t you love that dog hanging on to the skeleton?

Thanks for stopping by!

Sept 9th update:  Congrats to Kaylene Ott….your name was drawn to win the 3 months of my 3D Kit club.  Thanks to everyone that send me an email!!

p.s.   I need your help making a decision.   I try my very hardest to always put myself in your shoes and make decisions that I would appreciate if I were the customer.  With that being said….the other side of me also wants to be “the early bird that catches the worm” (now you can see why some call me a worry wort).   Stampin’ Up! has just released the My Digital Studio.  It’s available this month for demonstrators & on October 1st you can purchase it.   My dilemma is my heart tells me to hold off showing you all the stuff because you can’t order it yet….but my head is saying show it all as soon as possible.   Please tell me….as my customers….what should I do?  Show it now?  Or save it for when you can order it?   Instead of posting a comment on this blog…I’m closing the comments and asking that you email me what you think.     On Tuesday I’ll make my decision and give one lucky person a 3 month membership to my 3D Kit club (name will be drawn from everyone that sends me an email with their opinion).
