Thanks for all your patience this week!!  Chase is doing well (although his lip is still numb) and my doctor said yesterday that  I do not need surgery.  I’m soooo happy!!!

Slight delay & Holiday Catalog Ornament

A few days ago I told you I would be starting my 12 weeks of Halloween today … but ….I’ve hit a few snags and it will be delayed.

I have four weeks of projects made and they’re ready to be filmed …but I used up all my Howlstooth Designer Paper (obsessing over making the Halloween ornaments).   To be on the safe side I’m NOT going to say when I’ll post it …that way I won’t disappoint you again.  As soon as I get the paper and can get some quiet time to film a video I’ll get to it!!

The other snag is …. Chase had oral surgery yesterday and I’m back to being a nurse.  I thought it was going to be a simple in and out thing .. I was WRONG!  He can’t eat or talk for 48 hours (liquid diet) … and he has to apply pressure non stop….. AND …. him being a guy ….they are way more needy than girls (shush … don’t tell the guys I said that).

Below is what I shared on my Chic n Scratch Facebook page last night …..

It’s taken me three days to get it right and I’m happy to report I can show you how to make the Stampin Up Holiday catalog ornament that’s on the front cover.

And here’s my Halloween version…..

I’ve got everything ready to do a video … and hopefully I can post it this evening. But it really depends on how much Chase needs me and how many other distractions happen.  When I’m finished with the video I’ll work on my version of the written instructions.

A HUGE thank you goes out to the ladies that sent me the instructions.  We talked about it on my live stream the other day and several ladies sent me the instructions from Stampin Up I’m not going to share those because you’ll want more instructions than what they provide.  I promise after my video you’ll know how and will no longer be confused.   AND .. it’s not as hard as it looks .. I promise.

Thanks and have a great day!!

Halloween Toilet Paper Roll Basket

Halloween Toilet Paper Roll Basket
My project today is what we made on You Tube Live on Saturday.  It’s a Toilet Paper Roll Basket and the last time I made these were back in  2007.

Click here to see my 2007 Open House Baskets (picture is small but you should be able to see all the baskets).

How to make the Halloween Toilet Paper Roll Basket Video Tutorial

To make this project you’ll cut the toilet paper roll at 1-3/8″ on your Paper Cutter.

I used the Howlstooth Designer Paper from the Holiday Catalog  …along with the Monster Munchies stamp set.

The bottom of the basket is Basic Black and I cut it out with the 2-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch.  I reinforced the bottom with a 1-3/4 Circle.

The bat was stamped with Black Stazon ink and cut out with the 1″ Circle Punch.

The handle was made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch with Basic Black and More Mustard and attached with Black Brads from the Neutrals Pack.

I used Black Taffeta Ribbon on each side of the handle and added Googlie eyes.

Here’s another picture….

Sorry I wasn't able to post anything on Thursday and Friday!!!  I had a root canal on Wednesday and then I had to take my computer into the Apple store and have them help me move some video files (everyting is okay … I just needed to clear up some space on my main hard drive).

UStream Fans … we have a situation … UStream informed me that I need to pay $99 a month to continue … but that isn't an option.  So, I'm looking for other options but I'm not sure where to start.  I'm open to suggestions …I tried to load them on You Tube but it said the length was too long …so I deleted 20 videos.  As soon as I figure something out I'll you know.  Downline girls …. we're using Go To Meetings this month… check "events" under our team site.

Thanks & have a great day!!
