Thank you all so much for your patience and your prayers over the past couple weeks!! And, I owe you all an apology because I posted the news of my mother and then I went dark… meanly I basically disappeared. All I can say is we all grieve in different ways and I shut down virtually and focused on wrapping up Christmas for my family and friends.
There’s no new news about mom except that they have increased her morphine and we pray she’s no longer in pain. If you’ve experienced dementia with a family member you know exactly what we’re dealing with.
If you plan on watching my live video tonight, please pray that it goes well and I don’t burst into tears.

The sad truth about dementia is that you actually loose them long before they pass. The grieving process can go on for a long time before they are released from this prison that has been inflicted upon themselves. My daddy was the most patient, loving and forgiving man I have ever known. His battle with dementia was fought with sweetness never anger. In his last hours I saw glimpses of my daddy, he couldn’t talk to me but his facial expressions told me he was understanding. So now we know they are whole and themself again. Prayers for comfort as you journey through your grief and may sweet memories bring you such comfort.
