A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card

My project for you today is A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card.

I said last week that I would be featuring the Bird Banter Stamp Set with the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper this week … all week long 🙂

For this card I used Thick Whisper White card stock for the base and I used the parakeet image from the Bird Banter Stamp Set.   I colored it with our Stampin’ Blends Markers

Here’s the video tutorial …. If you’re reading this in your email box, please CLICK HERE to watch the video on my website (the watch video button doesn’t work).

  1. Oh this is too cute! I love lemon lime twist, and just FYI, when my sister and I were young we had some parakeets…the blue ones….and “pretty boy” loved to tell you his name! thanks for the memories and this cute idea. I love the trick of marking your place on the paper, too.

  2. Chirpy is so cute! We have a bunch of red finches outside that are so fun to watch. They have made a nest in my fake floral display by the door. Last year they built a humongous nest behind a huge wreath and had several sets of babies in it.

Anyway, you had me at the stitched framelits! Love the idea of covering the lines you drew with pencil – I don’t think I have ever done that. Very cute card!

  3. Cute card. My mom used to raise parakeets when I was young, I don’t know if she sold them or what. We had about 24. They are such cute birds.

  4. Too cute!!! I’m so glad I got this stamp set. The birds make me chuckle. I always look forward to your tips for making projects more efficiently. I’ll be using the outline technique, I’m sure.
