Balloon Adventures Gift Card Holder

balloonadventuresgiftcardholderb

I’m excited to share with you the Balloon Adventures Gift Card Holder.

I originally created this project for Bella’s Bundle #2 … but I wasn’t sure if a Gift Card Holder was considered a card or a 3D project … feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!

I used the Balloon Adventures Bundle … with the Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Classic Label Punch.

To make this Gift Card Holder you need a piece of Pacific Point card stock that measures 4-1/4 x 11.  That means you get two out of one sheet of card stock.

I decorated the Gift Card Holder with the Party Animal Designer Series Paper and although this pack of paper wasn’t my first choice in the Occasions Catalog, I have grown to love it!  In fact you’ll see it again tomorrow on Paper & Ink Sketches #14!

My assistant

I’d like to introduce Lesli as my new assistant as Laura is headed back to work full time at our local school district.  I will miss her greatly!! But we have become close friends with a lot in common (like Royals baseball and Taco Republic) and we’ll be staying in touch.  The only change you’ll see is we’re giving Lesli a new email address and for those that it will affect (like Stamp Club Online, Chics Paper Ink & Chic Rewards) we’ll notify you.

Here’s a note from Laura…. I have absolutely treasured my time here at Chic n Scratch working for Angie (who I feel is more like a sister and dear friend of mine rather than a boss) as well as serving you all over the last 3+ years! I have loved getting to know you all and share in many of your lives!  I’m looking forward to helping Angie box up the next Bella’s Bundles #2 and getting the updates on how you all are doing! *Hugs*, Laura

Email

Lately, there has been an overwhelming amount of people that are NOT receiving my emails.  On more than one occasions I’ve been told “I’m glad your back”…. yikes I didn’t go anywhere!  To solve this issue…. let’s try two things, check your spam or trash folder.  Some email providers send my emails straight to spam.  Try adding my email address to your Contacts (within your email) and that should help the problem.   But, it still might be a good idea to look in your spam folder once or twice a week.   Here’s my email address ….

  1. Great idea for a Gift card but I think of it as just a card not a 3D project.
Angie are you going to do the Chic membership like you did a few years ago? Loved being a member of that ? Also are you not doing the PP projects anymore for your PP subscribers?

    • Hey Sandy, I have Stamp Club Online that’s a membership site, you can join by either placing orders or purchase a 3 month membership. I post five videos a month and we’re on our fourth year 🙂 Yes, I’m still doing the PP projects for subscribers (the holidays were crazy and I had to skip December). The next email will go out on Feb 5th (the projects are darling this month!!!).

  2. What a wonderful idea. It can be used for so many different occasions just changing the paper and sentiment. Because it is flat, I think it would be a card. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Very cute project. I think it’s more of a card than a 3D project because it isn’t in dimension, I would say. A card and a gift in one. Welcome to Lesli 🙂 Laura, you will be missed. Wish you the best of everything 🙂

  5. Very cute project! I think this gift card holder would qualify as a card because it could fit into a regular envelope (which is flat for mailing).

    Best wishes to you, Laura!

  7. This project is just adorable, and I love the colors! I think of it as a 3D project because I wouldn’t send it through the mail. I don’t trust snail mail with money and gift cards. You could put a message in the slot where the gift card is though and use it that way. Super cute!

  8. I think a gift card holder is kind of a 3D item. In any event, this is such a pretty, colorful project! Love it – and I’m going to try to make one with a Valentine’s design…

  12. A card or 3D, whichever, I love it! I would lump it in the 3 D category. I had not noticed that stamp about “open me already” and had to smile – that is so fun! Fun colors to use as well. I will be making these!

  15. Love the gift card holder made from scratch and not just another die! Thank you, your videos are always so well done. This project could be either – if you present it in an envelope, it’s a card. If not, a project. Thanks for a chance to win the kit.

  16. I agree with Linda if in an envelope a card or given as is a 3D project. Your videos are always wonderful and you don’t mind showing you are human and make mistakes like the rest of us crafters. Thank you for all your projects.

  18. Love this!! So hard to say whether it’s a card or 3D project. If I had to pick, I’d say card. Since it’s basically flat with no “sides”, I think it’s more 2D, not 3D – unless you define 3D as Definitely Darling Design!!

  19. Very cute gift card holder. It can be a card or a 3-D project. The person receiving it won’t argue with what it’s called as long as the gift card is there. LOL. I haven’t used Pacific Point in like forever. I will have to pull it out again. Really nice simple project.

  21. That turned out so cute! I’d lean toward calling it a 3D project, only because I wouldn’t consider it a card. But no matter what you call it, it’s adorable, nad I can’t wait to make one 🙂

  28. Great “happy” card for acknowledging an occasion. I consider it a card – having some 3-D-ness does not necessarily take it out of the card category. Case in point – had you used the pop-up element of the same thinlit set, it would have been more dimensional, but we would not be debating if it were a card or not. Functionally – I would be using it as the card – that is, I would not be making another card to go with it. plus – it appears as if there is a second pocket behind the one where you placed the gift card, where one could add further greetings, well-wishes, etc.

  29. Angie, my thought is that if a project fits into an envelope, I consider it a card. That’s just the way I light to categorize things. Whatever it is, I LOVE it. I appreciate you sharing your creativity with us. You are always a sunny part of my day!
