Candy Cane Lane Bakers Box

Stampin’ Up! Candy Cane Lane Bakers Box

Candy-Cane-Lane-Bakers-Box-b

This is the Christmas version of Week 1 of my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

I used the Bakers Box Thinlits to make the box using Crumb Cake Card Stock.  Then decorated it with the amazing Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper

The greeting “Ho Ho Ho’ is from the Greetings from Santa Stamp Set and the Santa is from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set.

You’ll be able to purchase the Cookie  Cutter Builder Punch along with the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set as a Bundle (and there’s a Cookie Cutter Halloween Stamp Set too).  The Holiday Catalog goes live on September 1st and they should start to arrive in your mailbox very soon.

I stamped Santa on Shimmery White card stock and colored him with the Real Red
Stampin’ Write Marker
that’s available in the Holiday Catalog as a combo pack including Crumb Cake.

You can’t see it in the picture … but I used the Wink of Stella on Santa’s beard and coat.

Chic n Scratch

10 year  Blog Anniversary

10 years ago on August 14th, 2006 I started my Chic n Scratch blog and on August 16th I made my first official post.  It was one of the best decisions I ever made!!  But …  it took me hours, months and years to figure out everything … back then there wasn’t videos to walk you through every step of blogging. Or thousands of demonstrators to show you the ropes.   I remember staying up many nights until 2 or 3 in the morning … just trying to figure out the terminology … for example “what the heck was a type list and how do get a watermark on my photo”.  I always say I’m not the smartest or the prettiest in the group but I’m a hard worker, determined and persistent.     I thank God for leading me in the direction of blogging, my family for their patience & understanding and my customers for their continued support …. and my downline for choosing me to be their leader! Some days I still can’t believe I earn a living with a home based business … maybe that’s why even after all these years I know that in a blink of an eye it could be gone (if you watch the news … you get what I’m saying).

Long story short ….. customers, demonstrator friends, downline members, my family & last but not least Stampin’ Up! I want to say THANK YOU!   I hope this journey continues for many years!!!

To celebrate my 10 year Blogging anniversary I’m giving away a $50 shopping spree to one lucky person.   To enter to win … leave a comment on this post (US citizens only). If you need some to say in your comment …. you could share how long you’ve been coming to my blog.  I will post the winner on Monday August 22nd.

  6. Congratulations on making it 10 years!! A couple of years ago I stumbled upon your YouTube video in search of bath salt recipes (yours was for peppermint bath salts). I wasn’t into crafting at the time nor had I ever heard of Stampin Up but I thoroughly enjoyed your style of video, sample and personality. I would find myself visiting your channel and binge watching videos. I decided to subscribe and it wasn’t until this time last year I started seriously thinking about crafting as a hobby. I’ve been a customer of yours for almost a year and the experience has been wonderful. Again your style of videos, creative samples, customer interaction, and warm personality will continue to make you a successful business woman and Stamping Up demonstrator. Keep on keeping on!!
