Stampin Up 12 Days of Christmas #4 2012

The Oval Handle Bag is the 4th project for my 12 Days of Christmas.

This bag is so quick and easy to make that I bet you can make just one!!!

I used the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper along with the Mixed Medley Hostess Stamp Set.  I Love that stamp set and will be sad when it retires on Jan. 2nd.  (You can earn the Mixed Medley set free with a $150 order.)

I stamped the image with Early Espresso ink and then cut it out with the 1-1/4 Scallop Circle Punch.  I stamped the image again and cut the center piece out with the 3/4 Circle Punch and added it with a Stampin Dimensional.

I used the Oval Punch for the Handle and added the Early Espresso Tulle.

Here’s a free video tutorial on how to make the Oval Handle Bag ….

  1. Cuuute bag! I will defintely be making this one because the bag I made a few days ago was a little too small for my journal and I needed something else for this coming Saturday.

  3. Hi Angie,
That bag is awesome. As for your question- what is an easy way to put the label on the clear mounts? I can’t seem to get them on without them hanging off the edges and trying to re-peel them off isn’t easy. Any suggestions? Maybe video how you place your’s on.
    Thanks,
    Lesa M

  4. Love the bag !!!!! I will have to go make some later, although because I don’t have the stamp I will have to improvise. I got a chuckle out of you re-cutting your tulle. Glad I am not the only one that does that.

  12. Angie,
I can’t thank you enough for this project. I had planned to make gift card holders for Christmas. I live in NJ in an area that was hit pretty hard by Super Storm Sandy, as it is known, 12 days without power really put me behind schedule with my Christmas crafting. These little bags are perfect for gift cards and are a fairly quick project!! and super cute. Thanks again for the project.
