Stampin Up 12 Days of Christmas #2 2012

The Snowflake Gift Bag is the 2nd project for my 12 Days of Christmas.

This project is super simple to make and can hold a snack size bag of candy …  you could also use marshmallows or yogurt covered pretzels.  If you use marshmallows you could label it as Snowman Kisses.

To make this project ….. all you need is a piece of Snow Festival Designer Series Paper that measures 8-1/2 x 3 and you score it at 2-3/4, 4-1/2 & 7-1/8.

I used the Snow Flurry Die that’s in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog …  and cut two piece out of the Whisper White card stock and attached a Vintage Faceted Button in the middle with a Mini Glue Dot

I used Whisper White Bakers Twine for the little bow in the middle …or you could use a Basic Pearl.

Here’s the video on how to make the Snowflake Gift Bag

Congrats Tammy Hein … your name was drawn to win the Tags til Christmas Altoid Tin Gift Card Holder.  Please send me your address so I can ship it out to you (angie@mychicnscratch.com).

Thanks & have a great day!

p.s. Once again I’ll be drawing a name to win today’s project …and if you haven’t already figured it out …yes I’m giving away all 12 projects this year (I’m working on not keeping everything).

To enter to win today’s project .. I have a question I’d like you to honestly answer.  I’m going to be streaming live again on UStream …. more frequently!  So my question is …  how would you feel about donating a small fee to watch … maybe $2?   UStream charges $99 a month and that’s more than I can afford ….. but if half of the participates donated $2 …. then it should cover it.   Let me know what you think.

  1. Hello Angie,
How would we be able to send you the money ? You will have people say that’s not fair that I send money and others aren’t but they still get to watch it and how about the people that pay and not everyone can watch it when you do stream because of working or something else going on. I’m just sayin.
    Have great day!

  2. Honestly, I think your ustreams are fabulous and I always enjoy them. They are well worth $2, that being said, I’m not in a position to purchase them. With this economy I haven’t bought new stamps in 2 years, it doesn’t dull my passion to stamp, it just makes me use the supplies I already own. I think if you need to charge, you really should and feel good about doing it. You have an amazing talent and you share so many ideas graciously. Just my thoughts.

  3. Hi Angie,

I agree with the first post on here. How would we pay for that? I am not here usually when you have the UStream, so I don’t usually get to see it. Bummer.
I love the snowflake gift bag, but since I only have a sizzlet with snowflakes I would have to do it with them. I think it would work just as well.

  4. Hi Angie,
I agree with the previous post. I wouldn’t have the opportunity to view the UStream. I enjoy watching your videos and having the opportunity to pause the video to write down measurements of paper, score lines etc, or to answer the phone. Thanks for the wonderful videos and all the other ideas that you share.

  5. I agree that that is a large price to pay just to U-Stream and if you have to charge then just do it. Most of the people who know you won’t mind paying and those who don’t want to pay don’t have to watch. You got to do what you got to do! I love your U-Stream so I guess if it is convenient I will watch!

  6. I have never watched any UStream watched anywhere.
    My Marketing thoughts on UStream…..
If UStream isn’t paying for itself with increased sales then I would think it was a marketing tool that was tried–but didn’t work.

  7. This is fabulous….I know, there have been others, but I love what you did….and I can easily make several of these for family on Christmas Eve. Thanks for inspiring me!

  8. Angie, love that gift bag, it’s so easy that it can be made in multiples very easily. Beautiful.
As far as Ustream, I always have a hard time with it, it skips and freezes. I rather see you on You Tube or on your site. I miss alot of the streams because of work anyway. I don’t blame you for charging and $2.00 isn’t much at all for what an hour or more video? I would think, if you don’t pay you don’t watch, to make it fair for those who do pay. Just my opinion, $99.00 is a steep price to charge, kind of ridiculous.

  9. I love your projects and your videos. And I’d be willing to pay a fee for them, as I think they are well worth it, but the downside is I have trouble with Ustream. It’s forever downloading (don’t remember the term for that) but takes forever and is skippy. I’d rather watch your videos on your blog or YouTube. I don’t seem to have problems with that one.

  10. Love this gift bag! I like the efficiency of your edited vids and written instructions. I usually get last minute notice for UStream making it nearly impossible to join.I have seen a couple of your UStreams and found quality issues with the service — skip, freeze, etc. I agree with some of Lisa and Chris’s comments above. Thanks for asking.

  11. I can understand why you would need to charge a fee-this is a business after all. The problem I have with U-Stream is that it freezes up and that I have no idea when I would be able to view this due to my crazy work schedule. Doubt you could count on me to be a regular subscriber of that service (if you are trying to get an idea of how many people to count on to help fund this).

  12. Love the gift bag you created! As always, your projects are fabulous – and, your video instructions are always clear and easy to understand. Although $2.00 seems very reasonable, unfortunately, my schedule is so hectic that I’ve never been able to join you live on U-Stream – and, I, too, have experienced problems when watching. But, I do agree with some of the other commentors that $99 is an expense you shouldn’t have to fund.

  13. Agree, $99. is too high. I would ax the U-Stream just on principle. I tried to watch once and had issues as stated above. Love your talent and so appreciate your video’s however, and have learned so much from them! Thanks, Angie!

  14. Love this gift bag. I too have had problems with the U stream and have learned more from your videos and blog than the streaming. Your site is the first one I check as soon as I log on to my computer. You are always so inspiring. Thank you for all you do.

  15. I like to watch your Ustream Live (videos) when I can. But most of the time I’m off to work when you begin. So most of the time I catch up on the video on your blog. Love the snowflake project today!! Thank you for Sharing Angie!!!

  16. Hey Angie. Unfortunately I don’t get a chance to watch UStream. I usually am not home. But I do love your videos…they get right to the point and you are always so thorough with your videos and you are much appreciated!! Thanks for everything you do to teach us how to make wonderful cards and projects!

  17. I follow your blog, and love your videos but U Stream annoys me! I’ve tried watching but it freezes etc as the others have said, plus I can’t generally watch live and when I do watch It’s usually for half an hour no longer. You are quite right to charge to help cover the costs but I think you should then only allow access to those who have paid ..otherwise stick to U tube .. your videos are great as they are!l

  18. Unfortunately most people are not willing to pay to watch videos that contain instructions on how to create a card or project. There is usually someone out there that has posted a similar project/card and it’s free!! I’m in that category. I do love your blog, cards, and videos but I don’t see myself paying for them! I haven’t tried U Stream but by the comments left by others, it seems that they aren’t even worth your time or money. Would love to win something from your blog, someday!!! Love everything about Christmas, snowflakes, snowmen, and getting/giving presents! U ROCK!!
