This beautiufl Candycane Cocoa Holder was the 8th project I received and it was made by Debi Garner.
Here is the list of supplies used for the hot chocolate mug:
White Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' pad
Snow Swirled
Winter Post
Scallop Oval
Large Oval
2 3/8 Scallop Oval
Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (I think the new Snow Burst emb. folder would be great!)
Northern Frost Sizzlet Decorative Strip Die
Sticky Strip
Dimensionals
Corner Rounder
Here's the instructions right from Debi's:
White cardstock is 8 1/2 by 4 1/4 – scored at 4 1/4 and folded in half. (An 8 1/2 inch square should do two mugs and the handles)
Round corners (I actually used the corner chomper on the folded side. I don't know if the stampin' up corner rounder will go through both together, or you could cut the cardstock in 1/2, round all corners and use the sticky strip on the bottom as well as the sides…??)
Random stamp what will be the front of the mug, and use a plate or some kind of template to cut out part of the front. Emboss with Northern Flurry folder if desired. (Or another one of your choice)
I don't remember the dimensions of the handle, but I do know I cut it so it would have a half inch around it and an additional half inch to use to attach it.
Use sticky strip on either side of the front part of the mug, attach the handle to the sticky strip and use a small piece of sticky strip on the handle so it will attach to the back – ugh… does that make any sense??
Punch a scallop circle – sponge Cherry Cobbler ink on the edges, poke holes in the scallops.
Use your choice of snowflake from the Northern Frost Sizzlet die cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and glue to scallop circle, (oh I did use a glue pen to glue the snowflake), and then attach the scallop circle to the mug with the dimensionals.
Stamp to/from on white cardstock punch out with large oval, and layer on scallop oval punched out of the Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
Tie tag to handle. (When I did give them out I put them in a cellophane bag and tied a ribbon on top.)
This is great. Love the snowflakes, so pretty!
