Favorite item retiring

There are several items retiring that I will miss …….but the one item I will miss the most is the Tulipe die!!

Here's two projects I made using the Tulipe die (#113457). The first item is a Gift Card holder.

And this is the 2,4,6, 8 Box 🙂

If you can't live without this item…you have a few more hours left to place an order.

If you need help entering your orders this evening…you're welcome to call me.  I plan on staying in my office until 1am central time.  (it's the end of the calendar year for us and the end of the catalog.)

Here's a quick reminder….ordering will be down between midnight and noon mountain time tomorrow.  They are taking down the retiring catalog and adding the new one.   If you'd like to order tomorrow (july 1st) be sure to wait until after 2pm just to be safe.

Scallop Envelope Box

Friends never fade scallop

My project today is a little box that will hold candy and I made it using the Big Shot with the Scallop Envelope Die.  It's super easy to make and click here if you'd like to head over to my Chic n Scratch Live! website to watch the video.

I used the Friends Never Fade stamp set with the Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper. Both of those items will be available after noon on July 1st.

The new catalog is so amazing and it already has me thinking holidays!!  Here's a picture of a Halloween Scallop Envelope Box using the Cast a Spell Designer Paper with the Halloween Frights stamp set.  Both items are retiring on June 30th. (I'm really going to miss that stamp set…I love the words and that cat!!)

Blog Candy aka Scratch n Win

My blog is all bright and pretty and my first quilt is done …… that puts me in a very good mood (it would be even better if I didn't have the headache again…I know….. I need to go to the doctor).

Since I'm in such a good mood…it's the perfect time for some blog candy.  One person will win the Clear Flower Die I used to make the Eighty Block Quilt.   I ordered an extra one yesterday and I'm going to give it away.

Close as a Memory Stamp set

Sympathy

Isn't this card beautiful? I just love it!!  But I'm a little sad…… the Close as a Memory stamp set retires next week.   Jennifer brought this card to show me last week and I loved it so much I had to take a picture real fast!

The colors she used were Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla & Soft Suede.

Elements Matchbox

This darling little box was made with the Elements of Style stamp set and the Big Shot Matchbox die.   And….if you don't have that die you're probably not aware that the tag you see here is included with the die….along with two more.  Jennifer used Kraft card stock that starting July 1st will be called Crumb Cake.  (I wonder how many times I'll slip up…it took me a few years to go from Mono Adhesive to Snail Adhesive.)

This month I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.  The new catalog is here and I have new product….but I can't upload videos of the new product until July 1st.  So, that puts me in a funk because every time I go to make something….I say to myself "I can't do a video…so I'll wait".  I'll keep showing you projects that I've received from my downline & friends…… today is the 21st…that's means we have less than 10 days to go.

Big Bold Cupcake

Amy's card

My project today is a card that Amy made for our Team Swap. I love the pink & chocolate and I'm always happy to get a card with Glitter on it because I don't use it as often as I should!!   She used the Chunky Sprinkles #111343 and this one is retiring June 30th.

The cupcake was made using the Big Bold Cupcake Sizzlit on page 197.  The "happy birthday wishes" can be found in the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set.

Here's a picture of the inside….I love it when I get a card decorated on the inside!!  She used the Birthday Bliss stamp set on page 71 with some of our Circle Punches.

Clear Bag with Scallops

Homemade Scallops

My project today was made with the Bag with Scallops die & the brand new Homemade stamp.  You can leave the sides off or you can add the walls and close it.  I have an idea that I've been playing with for a few days.   The clear one……I'm thinking of adding some Silly Bandz in there to send to my nieces.

Did you notice the brand new 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch. I'm so happy that we have two scallop punches!! (I love layering them.)  It fits the Homemade stamp perfectly and I'm looking forward to using this stamp during the holidays.

The Bag with Scallops die is retiring at the end of June.  I'm a tad sad it's leaving us for a couple reasons. One…I love it!!  When it came out I was thrilled to have a box/bag with scallops….and when I was making a video for the project I forgot the name of it and it's one the bloopers featured on my first Chic n Scratch Bloopers.

The Old Olive striped ribbon is another item that's retiring and I will miss it a lot!!! Good thing I have several rolls of it 🙂

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Quilt Block Swap at Convention

My first post today is going out to all my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends that are going to Convention.
I'm going to host a Quilt Block swap at Convention and I want to see who is interested before I post all the details.  My plan is once we exchange blocks, we'll have enough to finish a quilt when we get home.   There will be rules …. for example….  we'll either use white or cream for the base and you must use one or more of the Big Shot dies to make the block.   Once I get a feel for the number I'll post all the details and create an area for us to communicate.   You can post your comment on this post or email me at mychicnscratch@me.com.

Thanks!!

p.s.  I'll be back in a little while with my project.

Headache :O

Sorry …no fun post today.  A whopper of a headache hit me late yesterday and then this morning it woke me up at 6am ….it was so bad it hurt to walk!!  Took some meds, got over it……  went to my hair appointment ….. came home….headache returned…. went to bed.  Slept three hours…now I'm in a fog.  Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I'll see ya in the morning.

Have a good night!
