Fat Quarter Quilt

How to Make a Fat Quarter Quilt with Six Fat Quarters that coordinate.

This was my first Fat Quarter Quilt.

I used this Fat Quarter Bundle…

Here are the supplies you need for the Fat Quarter Quilt Along

  • 6 Fat Quarters that coordinate
  • 1/3 Yard Binding Fabric
  • 1-1/2 Yard Backing Fabric
  • Matching Thread
  • Rotary Cutter
  • Ruler that can measure 8-1/2″ & 10″
  • Sewing Machine
  • Iron

This quilt top measures 39 x 49 (or 38 x 48 if your machine sews at a generous 1/4″).

I have decided that fabric choice is very important!

The Pink Fat Quarter Quilt turned out LOVELY and I’m keeping it.  I usually always keep my prototypes (will eventually get passed down to my children/grandchildren) …  and the Blue one is going to a children’s hospital (along with the purple one).

If you would like to make your quilt larger all you need to do is buy more Fat Quarters and add more rows.

  1. Angie. This is adorable. I can’t believe this but I actually purchased this selection in 10 x 10 squares. As soon as I saw your quilt and the fabric I went nuts. I love that you sew as well. I just finished a bunch of baby items for my niece who is due any day. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for your talent and sharing this with all of us ❤️
