Simply Shammy and Cyber Monday

Simply Shammy and Cyber Monday by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Angie Juda

I’m sharing with you today how I cut my Simply Shammy in half and how I store them in the Half Size Wood Mount Stamp Cases.

The Simply Shammy measures 5 x 7 and I cut in half at 3-1/2. Both pieces cut fits perfectly in the Stamp Case.

I’ve also created a PDF with cutting marks.

  1. What a wonderful idea with the shammy! I also have some issues with my hands in the cold weather. Will be much easier to use in a smaller size and thanks for sharing the storage idea and PDF?

  2. Love this idea. I really like the smaller size shammy and bonus that they will fit into the small stamp case. BRILLIANT IDEA! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Great idea! A smaller one sounds easier to handle as I have arthritis and it’s hard to squeeze the big one, especially in the winter, like you said. Thanks for the idea and for giving one away!

  4. I love this idea! I really appreciate the PDF you shared. They can be a real pain to make, can’t they?? I would suggest drilling a few small holes in the case so air can get in and your shammy doesn’t mildew. You can easily do that with a small drill bit and your Dremel tool.

  8. I love this idea I am like you a 5 x 7 is okay just for rubbing stamps on it to clean, but to use with a stamparatus or other device like this it is way to big

  9. This is so nice thanks for sharing always could use on. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and good holiday weekend I worked moving craft room again almost done. But then need to straighten up and reorganize to fit in storage room. Hope the craftroom storage space will be organized and work will see it’s smaller spaces I see inthe storage. But all I can afford hope I move it out so I can down size again. Am getting older can’t move like before so under stand hand pain. Be Blessed

    • Hi Darlene, Yes it cleans our stamps and I prefer it when I’m cleaning the Phototopolymer stamps. I sometimes use the Stampin’ Scrub and Mist when I clean the red rubber stamps (sometimes easier to grab the simply shammy verses the stampin scrub and the mist).

  35. Hi Angie,
Is that shammy made of foam or rubber?
Will it need to dry before storing it so it doesn’t get stinky or moldy/slimey?
Great idea to cut it in half to get a two for one.
