Message in a Bottle by Stampin’ Up!
My card for you today is the first Halloween Card for 2017.
I’ve started designing for my 12 Weeks of Halloween and today I’m sharing a super simple card.
I used the Message in a Bottle Stamp Set for the main image (ship) and Glamper Greetings Stamp Set for the greeting.
After I stamped the image with Memento Ink I cut it out with the 2″ Circle Punch and then added it to a Basic Black starburst… cut out with the Starburst Punch.
The base of the card is 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 and I LOVE making cards this size!!
I’m not sure if you can see it but I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. You can find all the details about this card in the Inspiration Sheet posted below.
Measurements
- Basic Black: 8-1/2 x 4-1/4, score at 4-1/4 Whisper White: 4 x 4
- Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper: 4 x 2 Basic Black: Starburst Punch
- Whisper White: 2″ Circle, 3/8 strip for greeting

Love this Angie – like the Black Pearl!!! All it’s missing is Johnny Depp. 🙂

Love your Halloween cards. Favorite holiday.
Angie, this card is so stinkin’ cute it will definitely be a project that I do with my sidekick who is now taller than me.
How fun! I have been making Halloween and Christmas charity cards so any new ideas are appreciated before I mail them. I had forgotten about that paper! Also, I was wondering about the starburst punch and now I know. Thanks Angie.
Cute card. Looking forward to the 12 Weeks of Halloween!
Cute card. I’m with Julie, just missing Johnny Depp.
Adorable card. Looking forward to fall and Halloween projects.
Cute card and so easy. I love that you already tied the bow for the lucky winner…lol. Your bows always look way better than mine?.
I never think to make a smaller square card. And I hardly ever use black and white for a card. This card is so cute! Guess I know what my next card will be.
I love the ship for Halloween. Never would have thought of that!!! Thx for the idea and cute card! When does the 12 weeks of Halloween start?

Cute card and seems easy to make. Thanks for the tutorial!
Very cute card.
This is a very cute card. One usually does not see cards done in b&w and this idea is great. A nice spin on Halloween not using witches…that i try to avoid when that day comes around…so i appreciate it. Love the card alot. You also do the greatest videos.
Thank you for shareing.
Just can’t wait for 12 weeks of Halloween and Christmas!

Love this Halloween card!
Halloween is FUN and you make it so much more Angie!!
I don’t usually send Halloween cards to anyone but my young niece, but I may have to rethink that. You added lots of nice touches to make it a “blue ribbon winner.”
