12 Days of Christmas 2016 Day 1

12 Days of Christmas 2016 Day 1

12daysofchristmas2016day1b

The Magic Reindeer Food is my 1st project for the 12 Days of Christmas.

I used a 6 x 6 piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Envelope Punch Board to make this darling box.

The belly band is a 8 x 1-1/2 piece of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and you can make it so that it slides on and off… or you can make it stick to the box 🙂

After I stamped the Reindeer from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set I cut it out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and I used Red Glimmer Paper for his nose 🙂

In the video I explain how to punch and score on all four sides of the 6 x 6 card stock using the Envelope Punch Board …  here they are:  Side 1:  Punch & Score @ 2″ & 4″.  Side 2:  Punch @ 2″ & 4″ and only score @ 4″ Side 3 & 4:  Punch & Score @ 2″ & 4″.  See video for cutting and assembling.

  1. I was not sure at first if I would make this project until I looked on the back and saw the little poem. I am definitely making it now. I am looking forward to the next eleven projects.

  2. That little box is so CUTE! So versatile, too—- I can think of a ton of little “bits” to use in place of the Reindeer for different holidays. Thank you for the 1st day!

  4. Very cute! I could see using a red pompom for his nose as well. My mom would have loved to have made these with me when I was a little kid. We don’t have kids or grandkids but I will find someone who would love to have one of these. I have to make at least one! Looking forward to the rest of the “Days” projects!

  5. Wonderful box and it doesn’t require any dies. I am thinking it would be cute with coffee beans and a Starbucks gift card tucked inside!

  6. Your videos always inspire me. Thanks for all your hard works. Another really cute easy box and of course the fabulous Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle. I thought I was going to get by without purchasing that bundle, but that only lasted a minute. I have used it a heap!

  9. Hi Angie. when I was making a red nose for my reindeer I just used a 1/2″ punch and only punched half of the circle and it fit really well.

  11. Cute cute cute. I love this ribbon when I see you use it, but I’m afraid if I purchased it, I couldn’t make it pretty because it looks so wide. Any comments for me, or help? Ty4s, Whisper Pat
