12 Days of Christmas 2015 Day 8

12 Days of Christmas 2015 Day 8

12daysofChristmas15day8b

The Joy Box is the 8th project for the 12 Days of Christmas.

I used the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper to make this box  … and I decorated it with the Home for Christmas Buttons and Silver Cording Trim.

I cut out the word “Joy” with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits with Silver Foil and Real Red.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

Thanks and have a great day!

p.s.  I’ve received several emails asking if I’m okay and why my blog posts are not as frequent.  I appreciate your concern and especially appreciate the kindness that 90% of you have shown me.  I’m okay … but as I said last month my husband had surgery in November and will need another one in late January or early February.   Add that to my already busy schedule and need I say more?  I don’t know about you but hearing the cancer word (me in 2011) was scary … but hearing it with my husband is 100 times more scary!!  It has mentally thrown me for a loop!!      For the brave souls that have questioned my quilting and ask “is that taking the place of stamping”.  The answer is simply NO.  I am making quilts for my entire family my goal was to give one to every immediate family member in 2015.  I fell short of my goal ….. but the family is aware of what’s going on and I will work on them when I can.    Again I appreciate your thoughts and prayers!!! XOXO

  10. Angie, first of all I want to wish you and your family many prayers! I know how things like that go and that dirty word, cancer is definitely one no one wants to hear. We have been dealing with Kidney cancer with my dad for quite sometime. His first surgery was really bad, but everything was a success. But last years check up, he had another reacurrance and another surgery. We thought they got it all, but after 1 year of check ups, they have found a small spot that they are going to do another surgery in March of this upcoming year. Anyway, you will remain in my prayers, especially your husband with whatever he may be faced with.
Also, thanks for sharing this precious box. Enjoy your holiday, and stay safe!! Buffy
