Personal Note
I’m truly sorry that I wasn’t able to get these projects posted before Christmas!!! As someone said to me this morning … I’ve hit a snag in the road and as soon as I’ve moved past it I’ll be full steam ahead. I wish I could say I feel better. I don’t. I have tried to keep the moaning to a minimum but some of you have ask so I’ll share what I know. It looks like I have an auto immune disease. We’re not sure because I need more tests …but with the holidays it’s difficult. My next appointment is January 9th. What are my symptoms besides having zero energy …. almost every part of my body hurts. Especially my arms, hands and legs. Even laying down …. I’m in pain…. I woke up last night to my foot hurting really bad … so weird!! And when you don’t feel well … stamping is the last thing on your mind. I have a box full of goodies and no strength to stand and create.
I had someone ask” how I could sew and make a quilt” and not feel good. No hard feelings for the question … I appreciate the truth!! My sewing machine is probably the one thing keeping me sane! I have managed to find a way to work my machine that only uses only my left arm (which is the least painful). It’s called a knee lift and I use it 🙂 I’m also only using pre-cuts … meaning I’m not using a rotary cutter (I’m using Layer Cakes, Charm Packs and Jelly Rolls … they are more expensive but they’re easier on the body.)
Over the past couple days I’ve had to accept that I will not be able to attend the Stampin’ Up! Leadership meeting in Orlando (in less than a month). It’s going to be really hard …. I can’t remember the last time I missed an event.
As soon as I feel better I promise to let you know!!
Here’s the butterfly quilt I made for Brooke (she’s moving out next month … Bella and I will miss her terribly).
Thanks & have a great day!

Take good care!
Beautiful quilt. At least you are able to do something to keep your mind off your illness even for just a little while. I too would not know what to do if I was in your place as I like to keep busy. I’m sending prayers your way so you can find out what is keeping you from doing what you love and so you can start mending.
Very cute box with today’s video. Love the touch of burlap. I have some burlap but haven’t really tried to use it yet. I think I will give this box/bag a go as I have a ton of homemade caramel that I need to get out of the house. Take care Angie.
Love the bag but worried about you Angie. Your health is always more important than stamping – we all know that so do get better! So very sorry you are in so much pain. Not fun at all. Your quilt is lovely! Brooke will take a bit of home with her when she departs. Take care dear cyber stamping buddy!
I’ve been praying for you… feel better soon!
Praying that you feel better soon and for wisdom for the doctors to come up with a good diagnosis and treatment plan! So glad you are able to sew!
Hope you find out soon what is going on and that you are feeling better soon! Prayers & Hugs!!!

Oh Ange, I am so sorry to hear of your troubles 🙁 here’s hoping to the quickest of recovery in the new year!! Hugs!
Such a cute little bag & a beautiful quilt. I used to sew a lot but never made a quilt. feel better 🙂
I’m so sorry that you are feeling so poorly, you need to take care of yourself first!
You sure have alot of the same symptoms I have and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I don’t self diagnose, but I hope the MD can come up with a solution for you quickly. Your bag is so cute and your quilt is just beautiful. You are one talented lady! Take care of yourself!!
Angie, your quilt is gorgeous. I’m sure Brooke will cherish it. I’m so sorry you are still feeling lousy 🙁 Hopefully, they will find out what is going on so that they can treat it and you can get back to yourself. In the meantime, do what is best for you and don’t worry about ill comments.
Angie, so sorry to hear this is happening to you. I would strongly recommend the book wheat belly. It’s about the benefits of a grain-free diet. I have been doing this for a year and my health is greatly improved. The other thing I have found that makes you really hurt are statin drugs. Maybe this will be something to consider. Hope you find the cause and cure very quickly.
Hi Angie, Super cute bag. Love the quilt. TFS Hugs & Blessings Lisa
Hope you feel better soon. Love the quilt.
Angie, I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I love the project. With a quick change of paper it could be for any holiday or occasion. That’s for the great ideas whenever they come. The quilt is beautiful.
I am so sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well. I just love all your projects and always print out your instructions to make sure I save them. The holidays are always so stressful anyway and then to not feel well on top of that makes it even worse.
Please just take it easy and try to fall back and regroup. I know you worry about not getting things finished on time, but we will always be here and we aren’t in any hurry. Your health is the most important thing.
Love you lots!
Love that bag, love the burlap and the colors.
So sorry you are ill. I can hear it in your voice, even. : ( nice project and boy, another good use for the burlap ribbon. Fabulous quilt, you daughter is very lucky to have you for a mom! take care
Love the quilt! So sorry that you are still not up to 100 percent, hopefully after all the test you will know better what is going on. Saying prayers for you too 🙂 Oh, almost forgot, love the cute bag too!!
Gorgeous quilt, Angie! It is probably easier to sew since you can be sitting down for that. Standing is harder on your body. Take good care of yourself, and we will look forward to more of your creations when you are up to it! Hoping for some answers for you and a plan to get you feeling better!
Thanks for sharing the project with us despite your illness. The quilt is BEAUTIFUL! I’m a quilter also (with terrible arthritis) and do everything by hand. I know how theraputic crafting is for the mind and body. Don’t lose hope. Your fans are all praying for your speedy recovery. Happy new year!
I adore this project and the paper is awesome! This is super, super cute! Thanks so much for sharing!

The quilt is beautiful and will be loved for decades. Take care, conserve your energy and watch comedies on DVD’s. Hope these symptoms resolve quickly, Jane
Angie, Thank you for telling us about your troubles with your health. I certainly love watching you and love this latest project, but you must absolutely take a break and take care of yourself. As a lady who has lived with lupus for 30 years (I am almost 46), I understand flares and pain. It is not easy to slow down and certainly difficult to stop altogether, but you might need to. Be well. I am adding you to my prayer list. Do what you can when you can. I know you are a well-bred lady, but you might need to slack on dusting, use paper plates, any little short cut that helps! 🙂 You must put yourself and your health first. Decorate your spider webs with your gorgeous spiders! ha ha. Thinking of you…
I adore all your projects…sending prayers your way. Kim
We all are so concerned for your health. You are a special part of all of our families since we have started watching your blog and hate that you are in pain, My husband has constant chronic pain that he deals with daily and it is very hard for people to really understand how hard it is to function when the pain is constant. You need to get back to what is joyful and fulfilling to you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I’ve loved some of the inspiration you have given me over the years, but more importantly…I’ve loved our ‘friendship’. You make me smile, and you deserve to have days full of smiles. I’m so sorry you are having the pain and problems with an auto immune disease. I’ve had fibromyalgia for the last 14 years, and suffer with it almost every day. It’s very hard and very annoying and sometimes very difficult, but when we love to do something (crafting/sewing) we someone manage to do it anyway! I wish you the best in finding solutions that will help you get through the days. Naturopaths are a great help in suggesting remedies that will help you. I wish you the best!
I am so sorry you are going through all this pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they can give you some good news on the 9th.
By the way I love this project
Angie love this bag and if I move out can I get this quilt too 🙂 Wish I could make a quilt like this one for my Godson who is getting married in May 2015, his Grandma my Mom’s sister passed away and she loved butterflies 🙂 Feel better 🙂
Love this little bag! Sending prayers and good thoughts your way! Take care..
Love your project!! Love the paper and colors. So sorry to hear about your illness. Hope you start feeling better soon and will keep you in my prayers.
Hope you feel better soon. Love the quilt! and all your projects.
I feel your pain, and I pray for some relief. I was diagnosed 20 years ago with fibromyalgia, when so little was known about it. They used to say it took the average person about 6 years before an accurate diagnosis is made, so hang in there, because it always doesn’t happen overnight. I had years of pain and extreme fatigue, and I was devastated by the tole it took on me and my family. It’s frustrating. After my diagnosis I joined a support group, and was overwhelmed when I realized that so many other people were in the same boat I was. I learned that I had to take good care of myself in order to function well. Eat, sleep, and get some exercise was what the doctor said, but not easy to do when in such pain. After getting a diagnosis it is easier to move ahead, with a reason and a plan I have moved on with my life. I don’t let fibromyalgia get in my way of doing things, but I know my limits. I understand the comfort in sewing, and for me sometimes it was mind numbing games on my computer to take my mind away from the pain. Set up your own plan, make limitations so you don’t over do it, even if it means setting a timer and saying it’s time to rest. I hope for a swift diagnosis, a good doctor you can trust, and look for support in others, and ask for help. I have had a wonderful doctor, but turned to acupuncture a few years ago and it was his advice to change my diet that really made a significant difference in how I feel. In Chinese medicine they believe that poor gut health causes many auto immune diseases, and with good gut health you will be rid of them. I have to agree it helped me and my sister greatly. Don’t ask for forgiveness when you cannot craft or blog, just skip the day, and move on. Take care of YOU.
Angie, this little bag is really cute. Would be so nice for those small things.
The quilt is sooooo beautiful! I love it. I do some quilting and I understand
the time and patience involved. Hope you feel better soon!

Such a cute little bag. Love it!
Such a cute bag! I love the use of burlap! Very sorry to hear about your health. Not knowing what is wrong really weighs on your mind and lets your imagination run wild and makes you crazy. Praying for some answers for you and treatment that you can manage. Put yourself first… What a beautiful quilt. I’m sure Brooke is very appreciative! Take care!
Oh, Angie, I will pray you receive solid answers to your symptoms. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with an AI disorder – Hashimoto’s by my “2nd” endocrinologist. He estimated (after an ultrasound) that I’ve had Hashimoto’s for 25-30 years – I was 18 when diagnosed with hypothyroidism and goiter. UNBELIEVABLE! I was shocked, mad (at previous doctors), and happy to have found what was the cause to my symptoms all at the same time. I still deal with extreme fatigue and a lot of inflammation (dr had to postpone ultrasound twice because of it), but just learned that certain foods may be causing the inflammation which could be leading to the fatigue. I’m testing that theory now, and will let you know my results, if you are interested.
Stay strong. Adjust your time line to make crafting easier for you, and your loyal followers will understand and wait. We appreciate your talent.
Angie thank you for all your loving work that you sharedwith us over this year. Now you need to take care of yourself. Take time to heal and when that time comes we will be there to enjoy your projects. Your health is more important. Happy New Year and your loyal followers will understand and will be waiting for you.
Linda D.
I hope you feel better soon! Your projects are wonderful!
