Starburst Sayings

Stampin’ Up! Starburst Sayings

Before I talk about the box I just have to say please ignore the picture!!  We woke up to a very cloudy day and I’ve taken about 30 pictures and none of them look good.  If the sun comes out tomorrow I’ll try to update this post. (When I update this post I’ll be sure to post a picture of the side view).

This is the same box I shared with you earlier this week …..the See ya Later Box.  I made it with the Pear Pizzazz Core’dinations card stock and the belly band is from the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper.

I used the Starburst Sayings stamp set with the Starburst Framelits (both in the Occasions Catalog.  The scallop Circle is from the  2-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch..

I feel like I’m forgetting to tell you something …..

Here’s Miss Bella’s joke of the week.

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!!

Countless Sayings Valentine Card

Stampin’ Up! Countless Sayings

The card I’m sharing with you today is not one of my creations … it was a swap I received at our Stampin’ Up! Leadership and this was Jill’s card.  I LOVE it!!

Did you notice she used the Petite Petals Punch with Vellum and the Foil Sheets with the Sweet Buttons Embosslits.  What a cute embellishment!!

Some years I’ve attended Stampin’  Up! events mainly for the swaps (one year I took 360 swaps) … I still love swapping … I just don’t have as much time to make them.

Jill used the Countless Sayings 1 stamp set … along with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.   The Countless Sayings stamp sets (1 and 2) are Photopolymer Stamp Sets and I’m looking forward to seeing the new ones in our next main catalog!!

Stampin’ Up! supplies:

Origami Box

Stampin’ Up! Origami Box

Today I’m sharing with you how to make an Origami Box.

I used the Language of Love stamp set with the Full Heart Punch, Banner Framelits and the Hearts a Flutter Framelits.

Special note … ignore my constant error of calling the Banner Framelits the Pennant Framelits … maybe in the next month or so I’ll catch on!!  (I think I’ve filmed three of four videos calling it the pennant framelits….oops!)

All you need to make this box is two pieces of card stock … the top measures 6 x 6 and the bottom 5-3/4 x 5-3/4.   That means out of one piece of designer series paper you can make two  … or four if you use a solid color for the bottom.

The Designers Series Paper Stacks is one of my favorite products in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog and it was an easy choice when I was making these boxes.

Here’s a video on how to make the Origami Box.

If you’re reading this blog post in your email please visit my blog to watch the video.

I shared how to make an origami box with you last year during my 2013 Sale-a-bration Online Class.  That class was my 2nd online class and I think I’ve learned a lot since then!

I really appreciate all the kind words and suggestions and I’m confident that you’ll love this years Online Sale-a-bration Class with Chic n Scratch & Pootles!!  Click here to check out all the details.
